Nope it doesn't count...sorry for the delay

You could use it for something else

IMPORTANT:

You can use any letter from the title for any letter in the challenge! That broadens your options quite a bit, and might make finding books for difficult letters much easier!

For example, Kaz has Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir for E on her TBR, using the "E" from "Gideon," and Cujo by Stephen King for U, using the "U" from "Cujo." She also did not bar repeats, as in using different volumes of a graphic novel or manga series with the same title for multiple letters if you need to (e.g. multiples volumes of Snow White with the Red Hair counting for any of the twelve unique letters in the title, plus any unique letters in the author's name) so that is also a valid strategy! Although, I will personally admit that I think this does not fit the spirit of the challenge, I completely understand the tactical advantage to approaching it in this way.

Given the difficulty of reading 26 books in a month in general (that's almost one book every day!! I'm not sure I've ever read that many books in a month before) these clarifications lower the threshold of completion for those in the group who might not necessarily be fast readers but still want to participate. Hope this helps!
