Sean Rhea | 4 comments Ok, this may be a bit tough because my recollection of the series is somewhat fuzzy.

Here's what I remember:

- The books were part of a series...maybe 6-10 books?

- If I recall correctly, the books were each relatively short...probably not more than around 100 pages tops.

- They were hardbound...maybe a white cover with some sort of color picture on the front?

- There was a talking spaceship and crew members that interacted with it. I'm pretty sure each book had the crew exploring some new world.

- One book in the series had something to do with the crew members (and maybe the ship too??) being possessed by some sort of hive mind and trying to get the remaining crew to let them in. I remember something about the dialog from the ship being in a special font or all caps for some reason.

- These were books I checked out from my school library when I was in 4th-6th grade which would put the publication as likely before or on 1980-82. If I had to guess I'd say late 70s.

I know that might not be much to go on, but here's hoping!

I don't see anything that jumps out from that list, but thanks for pointing me there to check!

Alan (alanjc) | 484 comments I don't recall the details, but the Dragonfall 5 series by Brian Earnshaw might be worth investigating.

Sean Rhea | 4 comments I think Galaxy 5 might be it! The covers and some of the descriptions definitely look familiar!

David Añez | 418 comments Sean, you can read the book at the Internet Archive if you want to confirm if it is your book. Need to be a member, but the only requisite is an email address.
