Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments I don't think I will be able to complete it all before the readathon (I'm counting down the days!), but let's give it a try! ♡

3 - Read any book

I was reading The Virgin's Lover and I was only on page 86, so I chose this one for this prompt.

4 - Read a short story

I still have no idea what I am going to read, since I have 5 reads ongoing 😂

Edited on the 28th of March: I finally chose my short story and I'm reading Assassin Study

It should be indeed, but in the midst of my head always in the air, that wasn't the one I wanted to write, but Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat: A Graphic Novel 🤣

It's not my favorite ever, and I wasn't that much impressed by it. Still a good book!

4 - Roll again

What are the odds of getting two "roll again", but here we go!

Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments Roll #6:

4 - Listen to an audiobook

Thankfully I started one yesterday, and I am only 16% into it, so I will for sure use this one. I'll be listening to The Cousins.

PS: I am starting to believe that Google dice may be rigged. Since I got a 4 two times in a row, I kept doing it and the first roll was ALWAYS 4. So who knows!

Edit on the 12th of March:
I hit the 61% mark of this audiobook, so I will be moving on to a new roll. Hopefully I'll finish this one this week!

message 13: by Nadia (last edited Apr 17, 2021 06:25AM) (new)

Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments Roll #7: (not using Google dice)

4 (I'm not even joking) - Read 150 pages

I currently have six books on the go, so maybe by tomorrow or Wednesday I get to finish this one. I will probably finish the 3rd short story of Promessas de Sonhos and reach the weekly goal of The Gunslinger. I don't think these two make the 150 pages, so I'll try to complete it with Anna Karenina.

Edit 14th April

I read, so far, 169 pages between four books, so I am moving on to the next roll.

2 - Too bad! Go back! - Read a sci-fi / fantasy

I am rolling the dice all the way until the end, since it's nearly two weeks for the readathon, so I can know what the goals are and try to complete the board 😊

Edit 17th April

I finally chose the book I am reading for this challenge and that I am starting in a couple of minutes: The Never Tilting World

Edit 18th April

I was clearly crazy yesterday when I decided to start a new book when I am already reading a fantasy one and I'm only about 20-ish percent through. Oh well!

Edit number 3

I went on and read 200 pages of Cinderella Is Dead, which is half o the book. Moving on to the next roll!

Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments Roll #9:

5 - Read 200 pages

For a moment there I was miscalculating the moves and I panicked when I reached the "So close! Move back!". Still got a chance to land there, tho.

Edit 23rd April

Cinderella Is Dead - 84 pages
Darling Rose Gold - 116 pages

Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments Roll #10:

4 (this one time I am grateful for it) - I reach the End and we all know, 500 pages baby.

Okay! Looking at it, it seems doable!

Edit 23rd April

Darling Rose Gold - 34 pages
The Never Tilting World - 91 pages (DNFed this one, but I will come back to it later)
The Gunslinger - 13 pages

Knowing what is coming these next days, it is definitely better :)

Nadia Batista (booksbynadia) | 86 comments This last week has been chaos and though I am extremely happy the readathon is tomorrow, I can't help but feel a little angry with myself for being so close to finish the board game and fail at it. Still, I had a lot of fun!

I may read a bit today but I'm still not sure, since I have a lot of stuff to do and prepare for tomorrow. I can't wait to see you all there tomorrow ❤️

You do have until the end of the read-a-thon to complete the board game, so if it's just the 500 pages at the end that you didn't finish, you can totally still do it!! I didn't quite finish the 500 pages yet either.

How come I missed that when reading the instructions? Nice one 🤣 Thank you so much for the heads up!
