Keaton (n0ztra) | 4 comments I have been looking for quite some time for a time travel themed search and find (picture puzzle or any other term for this type of book) children's book. I remember reading it when I was younger at a cousins house and loving the excellent drawings and interactivity. The time period for that read was likely in the decade of 2000-2010 but I have no idea when the book was actually published.

The basic storyline of the book if I remember correctly was one (*or more? can't remember) kids find themselves on a school trip to a history themed amusement park where every room is like a live action reenactment of some historical time period. Somehow the kid(s) get stuck in the park through a malfunction and they have to find all the item oddities in their current time period room. Every two page spread is one time period with several items to look for that are shown on a sidebar if I remember correctly.

I don't remember the ending or any major plotlines but I definitely remember the book beginning in ancient Egypt. The time periods I remember being there include: ancient Greece/Rome, black plague Europe, Viking England and cowboy western (early western U.S.)

From my recollection the scenes in the book could have had violence hence why I added in the YA tag to the title. And other than that I don't have too much to work with. I've scoured the internet for anything but no luck. The book bears a striking familiarity with one requested (and abandoned prior: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...?) but I don't think includes too much to do with mirrors. This is also not an Usborne book, several other similar searches default there (There is an extremely similar post on Loganberry STB http://w1.loganberrybooks.com/stumpth...).

In any case hopefully somebody out there has seen this tome and perhaps I will have clarified that previous post - assuming they are the same book somehow. Please and thanks, any help will be much appreciated.

Keaton (n0ztra) | 4 comments I'm surprised at how many of the search and find books illustrated by Tony Tallarico I remember from way back but sadly the particular book I am looking for isn't his art style.

Unlike the Waldo or cartoony art style of Tallarico this "time world" book didn't use a crazy overhead perspective. I think there was a bit of zoom but the view was usually from a side angle. And again it had much more adult content than Waldo or Find Freddie, with more realistic humans drawn.

Rainbowheart | 28668 comments When you say it was an amusement park, do you mean it was like a park with carnival games and roller coasters and other rides?

Or was it more like a fun house? Or a living history museum?

Keaton (n0ztra) | 4 comments It isn't The Great History Search no. It isn't an amusement park in the way of rides its more of a living history museum. Almost like a Westworld or Jurassic Park.

The attractions are literally like a Greek naval battle or a wild west town filled with random cowboys and whatnot. I don't think they explain how all the "actors/robots" exist, can't remember but there are lots of in character humans populating these zones. Its an odd one I know.

Keaton (n0ztra) | 4 comments I knew somewhere deep in the back of my mind that the book was somehow called "Time World" but every time I must have passed it in the search it would have been the original less interesting cover...

So I must have passed it. Time World is the one, thanks so so much Rainbowheart, just looking for the newer cover image. Thanks Thanks thanks. This request is closed thankfully.
