Charlie DeSantis sacrificed children to a life of horror and death in his role as a caseworker for CPS. Nicole Rollins participated in helping to ambush, harm or kill her fellow DEA agents. How were they able to live with themselves? This happens in real life.

It's not hard to imagine how this really does happen. These people justify to themselves until the really believe that they have no choice other to do what the baddies want them to do.

Money and power can corrupt the best of people but I’ll never understand how you cross that line where you can sit back and watch child abuse. As far as Nicole is concerned, I think there’s more to learn about her. It’s one thing to leak, another thing to set your teammates up to be killed. She’s got ice in her veins.

I have no idea. I feel bad if I hit a squirrel on the road. One can't possibly have a conscience to do the things they did.
I agree with money and power part, Jonetta. And it's very true that people justify things to suit themselves.

It is a mystery to me how people turn on their fellow officers.

From the shows I watch, the gangsters know how to read people and strike when they are most vulnerable or they know who can be bought. It isn't unusual for law enforcement to get jealous of the criminals profiting and they make pennies in comparison.

Sharon, I understand how they can be seduced into stealing confiscated money. It can happen to the best of us as I’ve seen that happen (I used to do investigative audits in the financial services industry for a time.) But sacrificing your fellow partners…that’s a whole different level that I struggle to grasp.
