Lucy will always do what she thinks is right. Someday this is going to bite her in the ass, but not today.
It wasn't smart at all. Yes, they saved the kids but it could have been an international incident. I think Lucy's bosses should have suspended her at the very least. She went rogue.
She handled everything wrong. Lucy should have told her partner and I understand why she made the decision to go into Mexico. But she’s a rookie and really needing to prove herself as someone who doesn’t act rashly. She left her team out in the cold. Bad move.
I agreed with her decision. Like Lucy said, if she had brought it to the attention of the FBI, the paperwork and permissions would have taken far to long and they didn't have that kind of time. Plus, I'm pretty sure Kane would have gone alone. I do agree that it wasn't a smart move, though. It really could have cause a serious issue.
This is the way Lucy is developed in the series. She should have told her partner, even if she was going off on her own regardless. Yes she saved the kids, but I don't know how her superiors continue to tolerate it. Administrative leave is too light a sentence for a rookie.I'm not a fan of her ignoring protocol every time she feels like it. In my opinion, Lucy should not be FBI or in any law enforcement agency. It would work better if she worked with Sean. In the the private sector, these moves would be appropriate or justified.
Sharon, I agree. I could see Lucy quitting or getting kicked out of the FBI if she does something like this in the future. Working with Sean or RCK seems like it would suit her more than the FBI.
As much as I hate to admit it, I believe you’re right Robin & Sharon. She needed to keep her nose clean given all the baggage she brought with her from her academy period, including how she got in.
