import of csv unreliable?

Is the import page used by users (I presume librarians maybe have something more robust) just completely unreliable? Once in a while I can get a file to import, but I've been reduced to trying a csv file with only one entry to see if I can figure out when/why it sometimes works. So far I'm left with - "it's a buggy process, try another day". Anyone else's experience?

Librarians are volunteers and do not have any insight into site functionality, as we are just regular users who happen to edit the book records. You will want to ask your question in Goodreads Help (link at the bottom of the page); or contact staff directly.

Librarians are volunteerswho do the book cataloging, correct quotes & stuff like that. We aren't the correct place to discuss aspects of site functionality.
