SOLVED. YA book? Written as online chat messages. Group of 4-5 girl friends dealing with “love” and life, each has a username. They’re not even in high school i think. Cover: pink hardcover with bubble text, possibly 1+ characters. Read 2011-2014. [s]

I must have read this between 2011-2014 and don’t think it was much older than that. It was very cute, maybe around 200 pages but without a ton of content, since the pages (though black and white) where designed to look like chat messages where each girl has their own username. Sometimes you saw a groupchat, other times individual chats, I don’t remember if there was any non-chat narration. I *think* POVs switched somehow. There was boy trouble and friendship struggles.
It had a pink sleeve over hardcover and I kind of recall a white blond girl on it, but maybe all the main characters were illustrated on main cover? I think they were pretty racially diverse, too.

I’ve looked into Ttyl, but I don’t think it’s it. The cover’s different, though the formatting of online chat is kind of the same.

Could it be the Flower Power series, also by Lauren Myracle? The first book is Luv Ya Bunches. The characters are in 5th grade.

If not, it might be worth browsing lists that these books appear on e.g. YA Internet Novels, although if the characters aren't in high school yet you might be looking for a middle grade series rather than YA.
