Her mother died and her fairy godmother sends her on this quest so she can become queen. I think finding the gemstones was all a test because i remember her cutting open a cactus to find water but finding a blue gem instead. It was all tests to prove she would be a good and smart queen. It was a pretty short book and i remember there being 6(?) gems. please help!!

Thanks for the help! The illustrations were pretty simple, I think water color! I remember the gems themselves being different though, almost shimmering or glittery? Super vague, I know lol
