I hope to finish my book today, I had hard time finding a book for this challenge so ended up with a reread
It was harder than I thought for me too. I kind of lucked out that I was planning to read mine to begin with for the month. But when I started looking at other options, I realized that for most of my series, I'm either in the middle of series that are fully published or I'm caught up on the ones that are ongoing (like I've already read the 2021 book or no new book is noted yet).

This was a re-read for me, but this time I listened to the audiobook narrated by Kirt Graves. I enjoyed this book when I read it, but the snarky humor in the voice of Kirt Graves was awesome. I liked the audio version more than the written version. My son started a love affair with dinosaurs at age 3 and 15 years later, I still go for any thing dinosaur I can find

Here is your next task!Task 4 - 28. Each teammate reads a book from a teammate's to-read shelf, no pass for this task.
Everyone picks a book off a teammate's 'to-read' shelf, or variation of that shelf such as 'read-next'. You can choose any teammate's shelf to select your book. Please include a link to the teammate's to-read shelf in your completion posts.
I really bad adding things to my to read list, but it looks like some you have some good ones :-) I will get back when I a decision on what to read
FYI -- my to-read shelf is mostly, or maybe entirely MM romance, I have a different shelf called mf to read which has MF romances. If anyone wanted to read from that shelf, I guess we'd have to check if it's okay.

Review:
This was a re-read for me, but this time I listened to the audiobook narrated by Rosalyn Landor. I enjoyed this book when I read it, but I guess I liked the narration better because this time it's a 4 star read instead of 3 stars. It's pretty typical for author Julia Quinn. Good dialog and a great cast of characters.

This was a reread for me, I did not remember it though
It is a classic Julia Quinn with strong and interesting characters, but the story is not that interesting and clearly not memorable as I did not remember reading it before almost the end

Here is your next task!Task 6 - 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it. Please include a link to the message with the recommendation in your completion post.
Can we just do the person below you from post 1?Team:
✓ Jodi
✓ LaurLa
✓ Lea
✓ Susan A
My shelf is: pick from here audiobook re-reads are ok
These are books I own or have access to through hoopla. I'd rather not have to buy a book.
Thank you.
Okay, so I guess I read this task wrong or am looking at it backwards. I feel like on my last team, we said "here is a shelf that I would recommend any of the books" and then let the other person choose which book they wanted to read. But I could be mis-remembering. I do that. A lot.
The way Susan is suggesting is that Jodi would go to the list Susan posted and choose a book for her.
So here is the list I'd ask to have a book chosen from - obviously not one that has been read yet ;-)
00-this-month
You can do the recommendations however works best for the team. You can each pick a book or two off the shelves provided, pick for the person below you, pair up and pick for each other - so Susan and LaurLa could pick for each other and then Jodi and Lea could pick for each other. Whatever works best for you.
LaurLa wrote: "Okay, so I guess I read this task wrong or am looking at it backwards. There is a task that is 5 favorite reads, but that's not this task. I hope we don't get a task that involves random recommendations as I am not a fan of reading outside of my likes.
However, since MKat said we pick however, and we are both here...do you want to pick for me and I'll pick for you? And then Lea and Jodi can swap recs?
Or, even can the next person to come to the thread pick for me? I'll pick yours as soon as you post your shelf. I check the thread several times per day. I think the notifications have been weird this week.
Susan, I’ll pick for you if you want to pick for me. I pick:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
You can pick anything off my TBR shelf or Something from my Book of the Month owned shelf.
Hi Sorry for checking in late, somehow my notifications from goodreads has stoped.
So I guess I should recommend a book for LaurLa and I should pick a book from her recommend list?
I have a quite short recommendation list from the last challenge

Or els you could use my read list
