Well kinda, I love timetravell books. (most of the timetravel books I have read have become my fave) all Our yesterdays on the other side, did not like it. AT ALL.
But a lot of other People do.

*gasp* I loved More Than This! Although not as much as Chaos Walking, but I don't know if anything can top that series for me. :D

Ahh I didn't know the All Our Yesterdays sequel was canceled. That's kind of a relief, actually. I really liked the ending and was pretty skeptical when I saw there was supposed to be a sequel.

Hope you like Midnighters! I haven't read it in a long time but it was one of my favorite series in middle school. :)

I thought I had only read one or two Pendragon books, but apparently I've read five of the ten. I should finish that.

P.S. Did you guys know DJ MacHale wrote for Are You Afraid of the Dark? God, I want that show back.

Yes, I should stress that I'm not at all looking for a story devoid of romance. I love romance in a story, I just like it as more of a side dish to the rest of the plot rather than what the plot revolves around.

Thank you so much for these btw :)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 440 comments Hmm. All of these look good, but surprisingly Midnighers is the one intriguing me the most. I say surprisingly because I would likely not look twice at the cover if I was in a bookstore. It also sounds semi-similar to a story I plan on writing, so I'd like to read it and make sure I'm not unintentionally ripping it off haha.

Keep us updated if you read any Tommy.

Yeah the newer Midnighters covers are pretty terrible. The original covers were a bit better (at least, they were less paranormal romance-esque, haha). But they're super cool! Very interesting concept and good characters. :)

I definitely will. Some of these I'll read for sure, just a matter of when(I think Insignia has been on my list for at least a year haha).

Awesome, thanks! I'm sure I'll like it, I've liked all his books :)

Yeah, Cristin Terrill made an extremely hard but brave decision to cancel the sequel. She tried writing it a few times, but nothing felt right. I can't imagine how difficult the decision must've been, but her readers have been so supportive :)

ODA: Yea, I think eventually it became a YA, but it's still in my MG shelf in my bookstore.

TOMMY: I only have two more books left. and YES, I knew he wrote them. I totally agree that it should come back. I loved that show, especially with the doll and dollhouse. ACK!

The midnighters was ok for me. I just read the first one tho.

Ok thanks Bluemoon

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 440 comments It's a fun show. Little cheesy most of the time, but some episodes are surprisingly good. M. Night Shyamalan credits one of the episodes as his inspiration for The Sixth Sense.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Shoulder Pads!!!!! LOL I always hated those things, they looked horrible on me! I always cut them out of my jackets and dresses.

Me too Jenny! They were not made for short people (or anyone for that matter :) !

Weirdly enough, I always thought shoulder pads on jackets looked better on dudes haha. Specifically taller skinny dudes. I used to sing/play in bands, and this guys who sang in a band I played with a lot rocked shoulder pads. Made him look like a living Tim Burton character haha.

Thank God I wasn't old enough to even wear them! 80's fashion was a hit and miss! I hope shoulder pads doesn't make a come back!

I need to keep this list in mind as I trawl my shelves each month lol. Read Cracked and really liked it!

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) The series I would at least like to get a start on are Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments" and Veronica Roth's "Divergent." The ones I would like to finish are Lauren Destefano's "The Chemical Garden Trilogy" and Becca Fitzpatrick's "Hush, Hush" series.

Both MI and Divergent were series that most everyone loved but me. I didn't even finish MI. It was too wordy - reminded me of Twilight, which I was not a fan of either. I am guessing if you like Hush Hush you might be a fan of it though. I can be pretty picky so don't mind my ramblings!

message 76: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie ughhh I've still only read Cracked so far this year lol. Excited for Monstrumologist in a few months though!

Heidi, I couldn't get more than a few pages into City of Bones, it just did not hold my interest. I managed the whole of Divergent but wasn't a fan either lol
