SOLVED. YA Dystopian. Girl around 18 dosen't know what pregnancy is, there aren't families in her society. Her plane crashes on an island, stays with a family which is strange for her. Read 2017-2019. Spoilers ahead. [s]

Plot: female protagonist who at age 18 (I think) chooses everything about her life, I. e. gender/job/hair, eye color etc. on the way to the place to get everything done her plane crashes and she ends up on an island with a family. this is strange to her because in her society there aren't families. there was some sort of plauge or something. she lives with the family and the mother is pregnant she doesn't understand this and when the mother gos into labor she thinks she is dying. she is eventually taken back to her society and discovers that the children all come from surogates that are prisoners of the government. she decides she wants to have children and a family and ends up rebelling against the government. a couple of other random things: the culture is such that indecency is not really an issue, I'm pretty sure there was a love triangle, as her career she at first wanted to be part of the group of people responsible for the children but was told she couldn't, they were called ___makers i think. i read this between 2017 and 2019
