Review: What a wonderful and intriguing debut novel this was! I’ve never read anything quite like it, as it is such an imaginative world, and I think the author did such a great job building that you knew exactly what it would be like to live there. I found myself wondering often what it would be like to see color for the very first time, and it’s just completely unimaginable to me. Our two MCs are hit with this exact scenario, and the way they handle it couldn’t be more night and day. For Winston, the activist, artist, and general free spirit it’s beautiful, novel, and wonderful. But for poor Ivan, who has made himself blind to pretty much everything in his life, it’s overwhelming and causes him to rethink everything he’s ever thought. This book is a sweet romance (fade to black, so don’t go looking for your smut here), an interesting take on politics, and even a story of saving a whale; but, while I adored Winston so very much, I think at its heart this is Ivan’s story. A story about opening your eyed to injustice, facing hard truths about yourself, and doing the right thing while forgetting about the consequences. Overall it was definitely a story I enjoyed and I look forward to any work from this author in the future.

Review: Bumping up a star rating after listening in audio!
When I first read this book when it first came out I liked it a lot, but Michael Ferruaiolo’s narration made me absolutely love it. Knot and Matthew both feature throughout the series, but always as a side role; and when given their own story they truly shine. This book is what you’d expect from Knot, it’s funny and flirty, but it’s also what you’d expect from Matthew, it’s sweet and tender. A perfect ending to the series (besides the collection of chats), but it also desperately makes me want more!

Review: The first time I read this I remember liking it okay, but never quite connecting with Zack. Maybe it's because I've read more books with similar characters, or maybe I've just come to realize everyone has their own story, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time around. These two definitely had a hard road to happiness, but they worked together well and were able to pull through

Review: This turned out to be a pretty clever story. It's a fun mystery and a nice little romance. Completely different from the first book in the series, Escape Artist can be read as a standalone.
The narrator didn't really add or take away anything from my enjoyment of the novel. Lee Loveset was a bit on the droll side. He made some bits pretty funny, though I'm not sure they were meant to be, lol.

Review:
Interesting book and I enjoyed reading it.
For around the first half of this book Joe, one of the two main characters, is still in an abusive relationship. Dylan recognizes the signs because he's had to experience this himself some years ago. He helps Joe to see for himself that he's being manipulated and taken advantage of.
So we as the reader not only get the growing romance between Joe and Dylan but we also get to see how Joe breaks free of this bad relationship. Personally I found this an really interesting element of this book and in general an important story to tell.

Sorry guys, hubby took on short notice a day of vacation yesterday and we were in the garden enjoying the sunny weather the whole day. But I started my book and should be finished by late afternoon (German time). :)

I love bingo too and normally play on a regular team but I think I've already enough challenges going on at the moment...... 😅

It's the same here, Amanda.
Today we have another great warm and sunny day, but the wind has turned north and frost is forecast for the next few days.....

I get every darn notification from that group, but not that one haha.

Enjoy it, J! Actually, I have a BR for the book in another group at the moment too, but unfortunately it doesn't fit our current task here. At least it would work for ptp, so hopefully I'll be able to squeeze it in soon. 😄

Review: A wee bit more romance than the first novel. The characters are sweet together and it's a real opposites attract story. Same problem for me with the narrator, his voice isn't the right fit for this story.

Review: This was a cute story where a wrong text leads to something more. It has Lennox's trademark humor, and you can tell Maddox brings the same to the series.
