Michaele | 6549 comments Ok, I'm finally putting together a favorites list - so hard! I don't read a lot of paranormal, but I thought those might be useful, so I've included my favorite paranormal - they are pretty low-angst as I tend to avoid anything dark or very angsty.

1. How to Howl at the Moon (the first two books in this series are my favorites)
2. Good Bones
3. Breakaway ( I love this series! The middle 3 are my favorites though).
4. Finders Keepers (very fluffy - I love this author, it was hard to pick just one of hers)
5. How to Be a Normal Person

Jeydon Marshall | 372 comments Task 1:

With St. Patricks Day coming up, everyone is Irish!
As a team select whether you are going to read books set in Ireland OR books with an Irish character OR books with a primarily green cover. Each teammate must read a book that fits the qualification selected, no pass for this task.

Please include the team selected qualification in your completion posts. Remember you need to include how you know your book qualifies! I need to know where to look to confirm your book, include any info or links as necessary. If choosing the primarily green cover, it needs to be over 50% green to be accepted. Don’t forget to use the first edition Kindle page count!

Leave your vote below on which you would prefer!
- Set In Ireland
- Irish MC
- Mostly Green Cover

Jeydon Marshall | 372 comments I’m under the opinion that a green cover would be easiest but I do have a series in mind for an Irish Character if we do go with that.

Roger, do you have any book recs for set in Ireland? I don’t know of any off the top of my head.

Thanks for sharing Michaele! I don’t think I’ve read any of those yet so I’ll definitely have to look into them. I’ll add your list to the team data section when I get on my iPad this evening 😊

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 2042 comments https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... you can find book set in Ireland but try to pick book you can find proof on the GR main page. The Druid Stone is what I will be reading as it works for Setting or descent! hate trying to find covers of mostly one color avoid it as much of possible, but if chosen I have a book for that that was already approved!

message 58: by Michaele (new)

Michaele | 6549 comments I guess if we pick Irish character it would also (most likely) cover the Ireland setting too. How about we go with an Irish character?

Good point, Michaele! I think an Irish character might be the way to go.

If it came to a vote, there are 3 of us who agree, so I think we are ok to start - hopefully Laks won't mind.

And it wouldn't hurt to get started :)

Does it need to be tagged? I know it’s mentioned throughout the books. I’ll have to go hunt for a tag if it’s required though.

I believe it should be morning for Laks within the next few hours but since it fits those 2, I’d say to go ahead if you want to begin reading. I think it’d be best to go with majority vote on team decisions but of course, we can always discuss further if there’s a mixed bag of opinions.

And if Laks needs help finding a book we can always make suggestions too.

Just jumping in here with some clarification. 😊 A quote and a location can't work because I can't check it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I need something from the precis, tags or lists to check. If you were doing setting, having that is the book details would also work.

I’m the same. Winning by bending the rules just isn’t winning. I can see being competitive but what’s the point if you’re not winning fairly? But I definitely understand requiring proof you can easily find and confirm.

Thank you!! I saw that about San Diego. I’m in Los Angeles County but definitely watching. It’s good to know that they are approving people for Asthma though because a lot of the state wide info didn’t make it clear if they would or not.

I think so too, Michaele. We will always hear people out if anyone isn’t able to check in right away too and doesn’t agree or can’t make a book fit for a particular task :)

At this point I think Michaele, Roger & I’s selections could work for either Set in Ireland or Irish Character so it’s whichever one would work best for you, Laks!

I love historical romances with a murder mystery! And I enjoyed this one. A reclusive scholar and his family targeted by a killer. An Irish ex policeman trying to find his new path in London. An interesting plot, though there were plenty of hints pointing to the killer.

Recommended historical mystery romance.

Shall we give it a try? I shall post my favored options to the respective tasks... wont be able to do it all in one sitting, of course. There is so many tasks!!

I was considering this as well but didn’t want to push it on you guys. I definitely think it could give us a head start on things so we don’t have to discuss each time a team decision is required.

Everyone: Feel free to post your preferences for the tasks requiring a team decision. I’m fairly certain I marked all of them with a 🌟 but it’s possible I missed some so you can always double check.

I’ll post mine as soon as I get the chance, but I’ll be focusing on my book today so it might not be up till tomorrow since there’s so many of them to go through 😂
