MY TEST
NO GIVING ME ANSWERS
A shadow is a dark patch formed on a screen (ground, wall, etc) due to an opaque or translucent object blocking the path of light.
A shadow needs a light source (sun, torch, candle, bulb, etc) an opaque or translucent object and a screen to be formed.
Mohan tried to see the flame of candle through a straight paper straw, and then through a bent straw as shown in he figure below. Write his observation and conclusion of this activity.
When Mohan looked at the candle through a straight paper straw, he saw the candle clearly. When he looked at it through a bent straw, he couldn't see anything. This happened because light travels in a straight line (up the straw).
Laws of reflection are1) The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal ray at the point of incidence, lie in the same plane.
2) The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
My teacher will think that I copied from google. . .which is kinda true. I remember what was written there. Word to word. But my textbook is a mystery
Airplanes flying high in the sky do have shadow but because they are casting it in an area that is very small, the shadow is not seen.
