Light always travels in a straight line- this is called rectilinear propagation of light.

A synopsis of light
Light is a form of energy that enables to see all the things around us. The main source of light on the earth is the sun. Plants are able to prepare their own food using sunlight. Some other objects also give out light. They are known as luminous objects. For example, candles, bulbs, and lamps are luminous objects. While there are some objects that do not give out light. These are called non-luminous objects. For example, table, cloth, bag, utensils, etc are non-luminous objects. Non luminous objects are generally of two types- transparent opaque. Transparent objects are objects that allow light to pass through them. Like glass, water etc. While opaque objects are those which do not allow light to pass through them. Like wood, stone etc.
Transparent, Translucent & Opaque
Transparent- Transparent objects allow light to pass through them. For example if you visit and aquarium, you will be able to see the fish swimming around inside the tanks. This is because the glass of the tank is transparent.
Translucent- Translucent objects allow light to partially pass through them. For example, if you look through a piece of butter paper, you will only be able to see a hazy image of what is behind it. This is because the butter paper is translucent and allows only a little light to pass through.
Opaque- Opaque objects completely block light. For example, if you have the door shut and you try to look into the other room, you won't be able to see it because the door is blocking the light. This is because wood (the material the door is made of) is opaque.
Pinhole Camera
A pinhole camera is a device that helps us get a real image. It is based on the principle that light travels in a straight line. To view an image through a pinhole camera we need a regular rectangular cardboard box and we make a tiny hole in it using a compass. Light a candle (or any other object you wish to see) and then keep it in front of the hole. The screen which is behind the hole is moved towards the hole until we see a clear image of the flame or object.
Characteristics of an image formed by a Pinhole camera:
- The image is upside down or inverted as compared to the object.
- It is diminished (smaller in size than the object).
- The details of the object, such as colour, size, etc., are clear in the image.
- It is obtained on a screen. This means it forms real image
It's only the section on lighti didn't make the shadows and reflection because guess what?
My dumb school told us yesterday that the test is today and NOT on Wednesday

Tell me how you go, I’ll be praying for you! (Don’t believe in god but it’s the gesture that counts)
