message 5360: by [deleted user] (new)

okay so, you know my fav teacher left, she was the english teacher

we had one chapter left to do for the test, and this new teacher has already done it in other class so she doesn't wanna teach us that chapter, and she is hving network issues, which she is faking and we told her to share q and a and she is not sharing, she hasnt even added us in the teams

Niharika✩ wrote: "Nihira wrote: "tell"

OKAY SO if you have 3 5/4
multiply the denominater with the whole number and add the numerator
so basically this will be 4*3+5

So you're not dying due to English
you're dying due to teachers who're dumb
Why don't you try studying the chapter on your own?
that could help
and for question answers
just look them up
very helpful

Is she okay? I mean, does she have fever or something?

message 5368: by [deleted user] (new)

11 divided by two, the quotient will be 5 remainder will be 1 so
5 1/2

it's not eleven
it's a mixed fraction
1- 1/2

I'm sorta clear about the mixed into improper thingy. But take this fraction 1-1/2 (mixed fraction) and do all the steps to turn it into an improper fraction, you get 3. What do you do with that 3?

message 5374: by Niharika✩ (new)

Niharika✩ (ilikebooksandyou) | 16150 comments wil it be 3/2?

sorry i meant
2*1+1
=3

2 will stay denominator

Nash (all too unwell) (iambecomeabladee_n) | 8087 comments Yes 3/2

message 5380: by [deleted user] (new)

everyone went?

message 5381: by Niharika✩ (new)

Niharika✩ (ilikebooksandyou) | 16150 comments hmm

1-1/2
2x1+1
3
=3/2

Nash (all too unwell) (iambecomeabladee_n) | 8087 comments Example...When u divide 5/2

Niharika✩ wrote: "hmm

yupp

Nash (all too unwell) (iambecomeabladee_n) | 8087 comments You will get the quotient as 2 and the reminder as 1 right?

5 = divisor*q + r
= 2*2 + 1
= 5

When you write a mixed fraction, the quotient is the whole number and the remainder is the numerator and divisor is the quotient
So appley the same formula as above
2 - 1/2 = 2*2+1
= 5
And keep the denominator

Niharika✩ (ilikebooksandyou) | 16150 comments Nashita wrote: "Example...When u divide 5/2"

that'll be

2-1/2

Wait. . .what's the 5 = divisor*q + r for?

5- denominator
so you're saying '5' is basically the divisor x quotient + remainder?

Sorry! I'm just horrible at this. . .

like you have quotient as the whole number the remainder and then denominator
