March 2021 Domestic Thriller Group Read Part I: Absolute Power by David Baldacci *Spoilers*

Looks like I have the 20th anniversary edition and the author mentioned at the beginning this was his first (finished) book. Now I'm even more curious about it.
Another thing I noticed - the author's written he finished the book 1990 but it's first publication was only 1996 and since I remember reading something about John Grisham's or David Baldacci's debut novel beeing rejected by a number of publishers I suppose that was the one. I'd really like to know what these people who rejected this book thought after it was made into a movie *grins*

I'm off now to start it for real.

Well, I couldn't put this book down. I really enjoyed it. Great story, I can definitely see why this was made into a movie.

I also thought the author did a great job on the characters, despite some of the reviews I've seen.

Due to a family emergency I’m massively behind my reading plans and won’t be able to finish it this month but will come back when I’m finished.
