Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Oh I'm so, so, excited for this one as I was delighted by the members that helped me out with this one. Every month you will be given 5 titles from which to choose from. These are 5 of the top reads from some of your fellow members this year. These are some great books and I'm excited for you to see your choices every month. Also included will be a few recommendations for upcoming new releases! If by chance you have read all 5 choices, you can choose to read one of the new releases when it is available! If you would like to "reveal" to the group if this is your list, then feel free to do so, but you don't have to!

Honestly I think one of my favorite parts of the group is sharing our love of reading and reading new books based on each other's recommendations, so I thought to myself, why not create a challenge featuring my favorite aspect of the group? And so for February, here are your 5 books to choose from, as well as a few new releases.

Here are your 5 to choose from this month- there are some great ones on here!!

1. The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof. ( if you have not read this one read it- I challenge any one not to fall in love with Charlie!!)

2. Then There Was You by Kara Isaac Then There Was You by Kara Isaac. Another great and super popular book!

3. The Medallion by Cathy Gohlke The Medallion by Cathy Gohlke- a very popular author right now!

4. In the Field of Grace by Tessa Afshar In the Field of Grace by Tessa Afshar

5. The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck.

And the 2021 new release that this member is excited to read is Jewel of the Nile by Tessa Afshar Jewel of the Nile by Tessa Afshar

So great- I hope you find a gem from this list that you'd like to read this month!

Here is the tracker for this challenge- https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...

Clearly a fine list since I've read all of them! :-) Looks like it will be the new release for this challenge.

I've read two books on this list (Bischof's and Gohlke's), and they were both really great. I have a copy of Then There Was You by Kara Isaac, I think, so I might try that one. But I also might reread The Lady and the Lionheart as I finally got a paperback copy of my own last Christmas! (Hannah, thanks for letting me borrow your copy when I visited you a few years ago. Cheryl, I know what you mean about Charlie!)

Cheryl, I haven't read The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck. I really loved Joanna Davidson Politano's The Love Note. I honestly forgot Rachel Hauck had a book with such a similar title, as I've not read one of her books in quite a while now.

Oh, hey! It's my list! Cool. 🙂
The only potential issue I can foresee with having my list shared for this month is that for those of us who have already read the currently released books, the new Tessa Afshar doesn't release until June.
Guess I'm doing a re-read . . . hmmm . . . which to choose? lol

message 8: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 546 comments Nice list! I have read three of the titles and two of them are books that I consider all time favorites (Then There Was You and The Lady and the Lionheart).

Thanks for revealing Kate! I enjoyed all five of your selections!! I requested Tessa's new release on NG, but Tyndale turns me down every time so it will be one I'll read later in the year. :-)

message 10: by Loraine (last edited Mar 01, 2021 06:57PM) (new)

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4439 comments I have read 3 of the titles: The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof In the Field of Grace by Tessa Afshar and The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck .

I have requested Jewel of the Nile on NetGalley, so we'll see if I get it. The rest are not in my library, so may be skipping this month. I did read 2 last month.

I don't know why they turn you down Staci as your reviews are always well done. Wish they would let me lend it because I did get approved.

You need to write them an email and let them know you are a moderator at Christian Fiction Devourers , and you post your reviews and list all the sites you post your reviews on. I use Barnes & Nobel, Bookbub, Christianbook, Christian Fiction Devourers, Goodreads, and Amazon. I did that with one of the publishers, and got a lovely letter back saying I had been approved for all their publications. Sometimes they just need a push to know you are actively marketing their books.
