Hey guys! Sorry I've been pretty inactive recently.. lots of life stuff going on :PAnyhoo, here's a poem I drafted last night. Any feedback would be appreciated :) Ty!
When the world has ended and this moment is the last
What will you be doing?
Who will you be?
Will you rejoice at the coming of the Lord?
Or will you cower and mourn?
What will you be doing when Christ returns?
We are told to watch and wait; pray alway, for no one knows just when the moment will arrive
He will come as a thief, you don’t know if you’ll be dead or alive
What will you be doing when Christ returns?
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that day is a long way away
We don’t even know if tomorrow holds sway
Even as I write this, I don’t know if He’s coming
I just hope that I’m doing something
right.
I don’t know if I’ll last the night,
For I have sinned, very grievously
And am saved only by God’s mercy
His grace sufficient for me.
What will you be doing when Christ returns?
I hope I’ll be praying
I pray I’ll be working
Sharing the Gospel
Preaching the Good News
I hope I’ll be ready
I pray I’ll be waiting
***
Every moment may be the very last
It’s time now to be saved; it’s time now to work
Now’s all the time we have
This very moment may be
The very last
Moment the world has ever known.
What will you be doing?
Who will you be?
When Christ comes in His Heavenly glory?
This has preyed on my mind a lot of late
For, ere today, ere this moment, ere many times,
Surely, I would’ve met a grisly fate
Because I sinned
Because I failed
Because I fell
And did not desire to rise
Until I learned
This is the last moment.
Now’s all we have.
What will we all be doing when Christ returns?

Also, not to be salesy, but I do have some published books if anybody's interested in a light YA Christian portal fantasy series.Elfboy
Goblinprince
They're $4.50 on Amazon, but I'd be more than happy to provide members of this group with free copies for review. Again, I don't mean to be salesy, but I did want to mention it and if anybody's up for reviewing, that would be great & super helpful to me as an author. Let me know :)
Ah I’ll be glad to read it! But I’m not sure when I’ll be able though, I’ve gotten myself into a lot of buddy reads, challenges etc... but ill find time maybe somewhere in April.

That would be awesome, and don't worry about when; it's ok if you end up not reading it too :)
If a PDF file is ok, could you pm me your email (I won't share it) & I'll send it over? Or would you like another format?
Just a short poem today; longer pieces (possibly book excerpts) to come :) Though all about me foes be set,
I will not my God forget;
To Him belongs even darkest hour,
In glory to show His mighty power
Longer poem today; titled "Dust" :)I read once that we are all made of stardust
That the same as makes the lights of the night sky
Runs in our veins.
I read once that we are all made of dust
That our Creator molded us from the earth and breathed life
Into our lungs.
Some people don’t believe the two can be true,
That one must be false,
That science proves one and disproves the other,
That we are made of the stars alone;
But I believe
The same Creator made all dust.

New poem! It's also posted on my blog @ http://abbigrace.com :)Hope you guys enjoy it! I'd appreciate any feedback.
The trees there are silver wood
With pale green buds,
Bursting into gold,
Fading to black before
Leaves fall to the ground;
Elves have bright eyes
And storm-forged swords
Fairy-folk stay unseen
And use spells of spoken word
Goblins shriek in the dusk
And cavern portals open to our world
There are five crowns
One of crystal, one of bone
One of mountain, one lost in empty halls
One called Veldstone
Fairies wear the crystal
Goblin wore the bone
Elf wears the other three
But depart from this world of imagined fantasy;
The greatest crown is by no mortal worn,
But borne by King of all, ruler of wind and land and sea,
And made of cruelly entwined thorns.

I wrote it when I was 16/17 & in rereading now, some of it definitely looks childish, and though idk if I've improved on that, I've hopefully gotten a little better at feelings :P
Again, thank you so much, it really means a lot to me! Hope you have an amazing day :D
No problem, I thank u too and I enjoyed it more than I expected. 16/17 yrs is rlly young and u rlly did a good job for that age.

Here's an excerpt from my current novel-in-progress:
She didn’t answer; didn’t know what he meant, and couldn’t understand half the things he said. But she knew those were tears running down his face, against her own cheeks; and they weren’t hers. “Are you crying?” she murmured, her tongue heavy and the taste of monkshood lingering in her mouth.
“Yes,” he choked, hugging her tighter. “I’m crying.”
She opened her eyes and saw nothing but blurry light for a long moment before her eyelids fell shut again and she drifted off.

Thanks to anyone reading! Feedback is appreciated, though I understand there's some missing context :)
