Hi my name is Sarah and I have been a crazy horror nut from the age I started watching the supernatural, the gory, the sinister etc. But Mr S.King will always be the no 1 in this genre forever.
I read Justin Cronin's The Twelve, about a vampire apocalypse sweeping across America, just as Covid hit. Not quite the same as The Stand, but uncomfortably close just the same.
Michael wrote: "The Passage and Thd Twelve by Justin Cronin were absolutely brilliant but that last book The City of Mirrors fell short for me." I was afraid of that; I got City of Mirrors for Christmas, haven't read it yet, but there was a sense of finality at the end of The Twelve that gave the feeling that just about everything had been said in the first two books. Often a problem with trilogies.
But Mr S.King will always be the no 1 in this genre forever.
