SOLVED. YA Sci-Fi Space series. German author, translated into English. [s]

Hello, everyone I need your help looking up a YA space opera (I believe it took place in space) sci-fi series. I am not certain as to the year the books were originally written, I believe maybe the early to mid 2010s, possibly earlier or later.

The books are actually by a German author (I believe he is German) but some of them have been translated into English. The plot is set in the hear future where an equal number of boys are paired up with an equal number of girls, and all of the kids are from different cultural backgrounds. I believe the plot involved each of the boys and girls forming a couple with one another and it all took place in a space ship or space station. I don't think the series has been completely translated in English yet but might be finished in its native tongue.

The book covers I remember them having artwork, not real people, of the girls' faces. I believe one girl was blonde and white, one girl was Southeast Asian (Indian) and I think her name was Soma or something like that, and another one was an East Asian girl (possible either Japanese, Korean, or Chinese). Around them on the cover was I think stars and space.
