Leah Hey ya'll, if we want to come up with backstories or explanations for the books we read you can post it here. (:

For instance...
If you were like me, and wondering how and why Mr. Bennet and Mrs. Bennet could even be a couple help come up with a story or different explanations.

Leon McNair | 69 comments Do you think it would be an arranged marriage? She maybe was the last of her brothers and sisters to be married.

Leah Probably... and Mr. Bennet may have been pressured to find a wife quickly, so he would go off of recommendations rather than contacts. Especially if he spent his youth reading as he does as an older man he wouldn't know that many women his age.

Leon McNair | 69 comments Yeah maybe that's it, that maybe he'd been too interested and involved with books and collecting books for his library over the years that all of a sudden a quick-marriage had to be done for him not to lose out on status or something.

He doesn't strike me as someone who liked going to balls, either.

Elisabeth (the_world_through_catholiceyes) I think it actually mentioned in the book that he was attracted by her prettieness and gaiety, and was already married when he learned his mistake. Mrs Bennet would marry anyone.

Leah Hmmm... your probably right. I didn't give much thought into the origins of their relationship when I was reading.
made me think of ~

Charms are deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
-Proverbs 31:30

Certainly. Good conclusion:-)
