review: okay, Harper is a girl that hasn't had much experience on love or how to love someone. So this entire book is based off of that. I really thought it was just going to be about Harper helping Ridley with school and him helping her with the basic's of teen dating. They fall in love, is met with some teen drama and then boom happy ending, Story over. Hahha I know it's so cliche. But exactly what I was looking for. But it wasn't that. I mean it was for like 30% of the book but the rest was just on her family drama.
The book was mostly on her trying to still fit into her family because she was adopted. But also the betrayal that she has set for her father. The book didn't really focus on much about Harper and Ridley but more on how her family was slowly falling apart an she was going with it.
Finishing the book I did look back to see if it had a part 2 of some sort but it didn't. The end of the book didn't feel like an end it felt like you were just simply turning the page to the next chapter. Which was a let down because of all the unanswered questions I had.

Review: This is my first Rom-Com and I have to say it pulled me in. I am so glad I gave it a chance. Super cute!
Lucy is a "nerd", she is only 20 and has her doctorate degree and is working on a social experiment. She has little social skills and when she talks it is very elaborate in a scientific way. When she meets Jensen she begins to understand how her experiment should be laid out. Their relationship is the cutest thing ever, I laughed more times in the book than any other book.
Lucy, Freya, and Tom were fast friends and maintain a best friend relationship throughout the book. These are the type of friends I have and it is a breath of fresh air to know Lucy has these types of friends.

Review: A solid dark-light mafia romance, though I did have a few issues. Enrico tended to lean a little too much into alpha asshole hero for me (I tend to prefer my alpha heroes a little more along Aurora Rose Reynolds variety and not mean). Olivia was a little too doormat and I wanted her not to give in to Enrico as much as she did. My main issue though was Enrico's father and his actions. (view spoiler) I really wish goodreads would give half stars because this book would qualify. Not a 3 star read but also not quite a four star for me.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: A mother and son make the trek across Mexico to escape a cartel that has murdered their whole family. A good read but could have done with a bit more suspense for me.

Hi Nina I see you found a book that qualifies. I use my phone which means I need to look through every page and column to see if I can find a tag. You could have gone into my post and the link where it says adventure, clicked on that and it would have brought up other books tagged with adventure. If you use a pc you can use control f to search for the word on each page of tags as well. There is another way to do it and I will see if I can find the link to the message post.

Let me know if the above is a problem. I noted on my original selection post that it is being replaced.

Review: This is pretty typical Dean Koontz, which was what I was in the mood for (I guess I needed the easy read - this week Brother Cadefael was making me think too much :)) There is a monstrous man, an evil organization, a family being hunted, strangers that come to help (with a side of romance), and, importantly, a super smart dog. I really liked the autistic boy, Woody, and how he thought, and interacted with Kip the dog. I could have done with less time watching all of the bad people and things they did, but eh - that is also typical Dean Koontz.

Review: This had a very slow start and it took awhile for me to get into it. Once I was a third of the way in, it did pick up and I enjoyed it. It had a little too much angst and tragic love for me right now, part of the reason I had a hard time starting it.

Review
Okay, since I watched the movie when I was a kid hundreds of times I wasn't at all surprise that I knew what was going to happen in the book. What really surprised me was definitely how different Peeta was. If I'm being honest as a young child Peeta wasn't my favorite character. But current me freaking adores him!! He always made jokes about how he knew he wouldn't survive but also always saw the light in a situation. But can we talk about how when Katniss had just found Peeta the first thing he talked about was kissing her. I was swooned!! The entire book with him. Cause man I love this guy. But even though it did take me a minute to get into the book
(Which I only think that was because I knew what was going to happen.) It was 100% still worth it!! I can't wait to read the second book especially if i heard Peeta will be in it more and also, it will be more of a surprise since I forgot half the plot to the other movies.

Review: I really tore through this book - probably because I haven't had any new Ilona Andrews to read in awhile. Although this is the first in a series - I'd definitely recommend reading the whole Kate Daniels series first. This one is about Kate's daughter Julie, who comes back to Atlanta to combat a threat to Kate. Julie is now "Aurelia" and her powers and attitude are awesome. There was a lot of magic and other action, some humor, and it was quite satisfying. And now back to waiting for a new Ilona Andrews :)

I’m a bit behind with my tracking, I hope to update it all tomorrow. My dad was rushed to hospital very early on Sunday morning and I was trying to help my mum with him from Sunday afternoon as he lost the ability to sit, stand and walk. I’ve been to hers every day to help. Thank goodness I was off work for a couple of days. He got home this afternoon.
