Review
I Love this book so much oh my goodness. It started off with Grace being in the hospital after her being in a fire. she's about to see her new face, and see how much she has changed. Then then next chapter we follow it with west who is in his car about to k!ill himself. So yes this book immediately hooked me.

I think what I liked most about this book was how it was kind of a enemies, friends to lovers trope. But it didn't make it over-whelming wheres I wanted to put it down, but instead made me want to keep reading.

I love and adore Grace, how she was always caring for her grandmother/guardian because she has Alzheimer's. But also still attending college. Boss woman move!

Now lets talk about West. Don't even get me started on how much I love him. He always had a snarky mouth with grace that I always laughed at. I can go on and on about how much I love west and how he made grace feel beautiful in her own body, how he always looked after her and was protective towards her. But man wow the love they had for each other was *Chefs kiss*.

This book made me want their type of love like seriously. Taking in that this was my first book by L.j shen I will most likely be reading more.

Nina the book was on my list to read for another challenge as well so when I saw it on your shelf I thought I could tick off 2 boxes at once. These things happen and a positive is I have completed another book on my to read shelf! I’m happy your book is good!

There is no deadline to post completion posts as long as you are not more than 2 books behind. Personally, I like to post mine before the next theme is called which will be Friday.

Book: Nanny I Want to Mate by Mia Kayla
Pages: 378
Date: 3/10/2021
Rating: 5
Review: This book is definitely in my top 10 favorites! I loved Becky's relationship with Charles and the girls. At first I thought she was going to be a shy and always have that victim type of attitude. But boy was I wrong!! I love how she overcame all her struggles and still managed to have wit, funny, full of love and loyal. The brothers relationships with each other is amazing. The way they all have such great different personalities and have each others back, I just absolutely loved it. This book was very well written; it was thorough, made me laugh, kept my attention, and I even had a few tears at times. One of those books where you just did not want to end.

Qualification may be found in precis, main page, tag/shelf or list.
It needs to be in description or under the setting (which does say cape harbor) or on a list or tagged as beach town/coast town. I think it should be ok but just because my geography is bad I thought it was better to check rather than find out at the end that it didn’t qualify.

Review: I've had a day to process my thoughts on this book and right now this is were I'm at:
description
I'm still not quite sure if I liked it or not. The beginning was super cringy and I legit thought I'm reading a book full of sociopaths. I'm still convinced that Jason is a sociopath. However, once the story started focusing on Cameron and Hailey, and Cameron became less sociopathic to Hailey, it found it's grove. I feel liked I needed more groveling and a little more emphasis on Cameron's light bulb moment of life to fully embrace the ending. Jason's book is next and I will read, even if it is just to see how you make someone devoid of any empathy human.

Book: Legacy by Nora Roberts Legacy by Nora Roberts
Pages: 448

Review:

I haven't read much Nora Roberts (under that name), although I've read quite a bit of her "In Death" series, so I was excited and kind of wondering what to expect when netgalley gave me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. And I was excited that it was on Nina's "to read" list so I had an excuse.
The story spans a lot of years - from Adrian's childhood to her life as an adult, and I loved all the parts. She is a strong character with strong opinions and a great desire to succeed. I loved her grandparents, her dog, and her friends - and I loved watching all of their lives unfold. I think this was a lot more a story of family and community than the description reads - there is some suspense (after all, she has a stalker), but the friendships were more important.
Added bonus, it made me want to exercise.

Review: Allie owns an Inn on Mackinac Island that was left to her by her grandfather. At the very start of the book, she comes across her cousin, who she didn't know was on the island, kneeling over a dead body. The cousin Tori is bitter and mean to Allie throughout the whole book, but Allie keeps being stupidly nice to Tori. That kind of drove me crazy. Allie also kept interfering in the investigation while conduction her own - and boy was she annoying to the policeman. Etc. Lol - I've liked her in previous books in this series, but she annoyed me a lot in this one. Plus, the love triangle, which I thought was maybe gone, is back full force this time - boo! There were some ok things about the book though - the setting is great with the hotel, the fudge-making business, a butterfly garden, a senior's home full of funny characters, and of course...more fudge. I'll probably read the next one at some point once I'm not so annoyed with the main character.

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. Brooklyn moved to a small and fell in love with Mr. Popularity Austin. Of course not everyone knows what happens behind closed doors. Her best friends Bowie and her also had a close relationship. After tragedy struck Brooklyn moved away and just couldn't face anyone from Cape Harbor. What they didn't know is she was pregnant with a piece from the tragedy. After 15 years she comes back to Cape Harbor because Austin's mother asked her to renovate her famous to Cape Harbors Inn. She faces all her insecurities and long lost friends and comes to realize she never should have given up on them. There were a few twists which I loved so much. My favorite being what Austin's mother tells Brooklyn as she is laying in the hospital bed.

Book: I'll Never Tell by Abigail Haas
pages:400

review: I've finished this book and honestly have so many questions, like for example why did they kill her? Because in the book the author messes with you and doesn't actually give you an exact answer. Honestly feel like she just wrote this book not even knowing herself why they decided to kill her. But moving on.

This book starts will Anna and Elise who are best friends but through out the book you as the reader can figure out that their friendship goes deeper than just 2 girls who do everything for each other. Well Elise is found dead in her vacation room an Anna is arrested and being charged with the murder of Elise.

This book is honesty crazy I mean I was in my kitchen thinking about myself how I would react if I was in this situation.

And wow the ending, Mind blown. I don't think I have ever been so confused, or stuck for so long on an ending of a book. I mean the ending had me like "what did I just read"? or "you got to be kidding me". I was that shocked.

But I do think its a good read if your into thriller/mystery. I personally won't be reading any more of these book because it just wasn't my style. I don't really like looking over my shoulder thinking about what if that was me you know?

Review: I read book 7 in this series in 2018, so I guess it is about time I got to this one - and I hope I don't wait so long before reading the next although I suspect they are funnier with time in between.
In this one, Stephanie is pursuing a difficult bond pickup (not uncommon), and is also trying to help her mom's neighbor- which quickly turns deadly and bizzare. Someone tries to scare her in weird ways, and things are just nuts. Her grandma has some choice scenes and comments in this one - and I hope that old lady lives forever - or at least through the rest of the series. There are some choice scenes with Grandma and a Rabbit (worth reading the book for), as well as Grandma asking about phone sex.

Stephanie also has to work out her feelings for Morelli and for the mysterious Ranger. This is a love triangle that really doesn't bug me much because everything in the book is so silly, and I don't empathize with any angst :)
