I did not like this book. It didn't really make me cry, unlike my friends promised. I hated the pretentious characters and the purple prose. There was no depth to the characters. Hazel and Augustus are like the male and female version of the same character. And the metaphors...they are just so stupid. This book was not for me. I love contemporary, and TFIOS had great potential to be a good read, but John Green didn't do it. Not atleast for me. There's so much wrong with this book. I think it's way too overhyped.
