Would you like us to find you someone who will read it with you?

@hunter we will try snd find someone who wants to buddy read that. When are you wanting to start that book?
Hi I’m looking to see if anyone wants to buddy read The Hawthorne Legacy with me?
I would like to start towards the end of this week or maybe early next week. I’m a pretty fast reader in that I finish most books in 2-3 days but if for the buddy read we have to go a little slower in order to be able to do check ins that will be fine too.

I'd love to read Hawthrone Legacy with both of y'all as well! I've read the first one, so I'm willing to start the second one whenever.
I haven't finished a lot of series that I've started, and I don't want to leave the Inheritance Games series unfinished.

Can I join, too? I just finished the first one last week and will be reading the second one this week!

Sure thing! And what day should we start reading the book? I know you still have to read the first book @Hunter and that’s ok but just like a general day prediction so we can all be on the same page 😅

Oh yeah I get it, I had to wait 3 weeks to get my hands on the first book in the series from my library and then 2 weeks to get the second book. These books really are super popular 😰😅 the problem now is that I don’t know if someone else will put a hold on the copy of the Hawthorne legacy that I currently have so I might only have 3 weeks before I have to return the book.
What about you Catherine, do you have access to the second book now or do you also have to wait in line?

Hunter wrote: "Y'all I have a Target giftcard and the Inheritance Games is there. Should I buy it or wait for the library?"
it depends on if you want to wait till your library gives you a copy or if you want to just buy the copy so you can start it sooner. When are you wanting to start that book?

I am going to start a thread for you guys in the group so that way when everyone is ready to start reading the book it will be open.

I created the chat just now so you guys can all chat in the thread but I am sure if you have clarified that you don't want them to start that without you they will wait.

Since Ana's already checked it out from the library, she's got to return the book in a couple of weeks, so she has to start the book by Friday May 19th or sooner to be able to finish the book and return it on time. If everyone doesn't have the book by then, I can wait for the people who don't have the book yet and read it with them when they're ready (I have the book and I'm ready to start whenever). Does that sound OK to everyone? Let me know if anything I said was confusing😄 And please let us know when you have the book! Thank you:))

Are you still needing us to find a buddy reader so you can read this book?

Hi :)
To everyone who wants to read The Hawthorne Legacy, is everyone going to be ready to start reading this book tomorrow? Please let us know so we can plan and see if Catherine is going to have to wait for anyone who still doesn’t have the book.

My name is Haley and I have recently acquired a copy of "S." by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst and would love a buddy to read this with.

This is a hard book to describe but it is basically a book within a book. This is a book where you would have to have it physically, either bought new, or loaned from your library (like me) because it has 20+ inserts in it that go along with the story/mystery.
The copy I got from my library had all the inserts in a folder in the back of the book (instead of in the pages like it is when you buy it new), and it was only missing one of the inserts. But you can google the inserts as well and also google a list of where all the inserts go in the book so that way you know how to read it.
Anyways it can be a hard book to get ahold of since not a lot of libraries have it, but it is expensive to buy. So I am willing to wait to start it until whoever wants to buddy read it has a copy if they don't already. I'm pretty sure I can renew the book once my three weeks are up.
I am typically a faster reader, however with a book that will take some big brain energy like this one, I will probably want to go slower with it. If anyone is interested, we can discuss reading schedules/goals since S. is not a normal book format-wise.
Thank you! I am eager to hear from anyone interested in a buddy read! :D

Haley, that sounds like a good book! Unfortunately, I can't get the book anytime soon. However, I just asked someone who's currently reading the book if they would want to buddy read it with you. Hopefully they say yes! 🤞

I've added Jane's books to read this year as I never have read them before, so I'd be willing! Is there a particular order that her books need to be read in or can they be read separately from each other?

i'd say my reading speed is about medium, about 3-4 chapters per day. i plan to read the books over the summer, so start in a few weeks.
@audrey we will find a buddy reader for you!!! I have the guest list on my to be read but I don’t have it in paperback yet.
I would, but I won't be able to read for the next couple of weeks...I'll be on the lookout for anyone else who would want to read it, though!
