Kelsie hasn't been active in a little while. I'm not sure whether she'll see your post or not, but Six of Crows is high on my reading list. Let me know if you ever want to buddy-read :)

@Everyone

We read Shadow and Bone for February's BOTM! I loved it, and if y'all ever want to drop your opinions here

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

after you read the book, I'd love to hear them. We could also just drop into your buddy-read thread as well:)

Sounds good! I'll make a thread where we can talk about a start date. I'm reading a LOT of books right now, and I'm not sure I can start right away :/

I'm sorry if you were wanting to read the book right away!

- Ashleigh is looking for a partner to start a new series (Hopefully Crescent City by Sarah J. Mass)

I'm currently reading this one! Soo good but I'm just about past half way.

It took me a while to get into and there's SO MUCH INFO thrown at you in the beginning - its a little hard to follow - but it blossoms into this amazing story. Enjoying it so much more now.

message 161: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 20 comments Oooh wait that’s good to hear because I actually read the first 100 pages but it didn’t really grasp me within those first pages if that makes sense, but I’ll definitely give it another go if you say the story builds up over time!! I’m free all day tmr so I’m sure I can catch up to where you are at haha

message 162: by Maddy (new)

Maddy | 90 comments Yeah I had the same feeling. Wasn't sure if I'd continue with it/like it but once you get past this massive wall of info you're bombarded with -- it gets more onto the story. And it feels alot more SJM style further in. I loved ACOTAR and am reading ToG series (slowly) and this feels like a good in between of the two. Lots of action packed parts, a little bit of smut LOL and it's enough to keep it interesting.

Honestly I'm half way and the characters are only just opening up/getting deep <3

message 163: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 20 comments Yea I’ve read her other books like ToG a looong time ago but I remember them being soo amazing and good that’s why I picked this one up to try it out and had high expectations.

I’ll start the book again tmr then I’ll let you know by the end of tmr (my day time it’s currently night here) where I’m up to and what I’m thinking about the book so far :) maybe we could read alongside for the next book too if all goes to plan!!

message 164: by Maddy (new)

Maddy | 90 comments Sounds great! :)

Yeah this one was a little unexpected. A lot of swearing (more than all her other books!), drug use and well the smut I was prepared for... but once the story starts rolling it's much more enjoyable.

Danika was my favorite character in the beginning :)
