Group Read #1 for March 2021: THE HAUNTED FOREST TOUR, Jeff Strand and James A. Moore

I finished it this morning and must say overall it was a bit disappointing. I never really got a feel for any of the characters, I wasn't invested at all, and all of the monsters came in and out of the story so quickly that none were really memorable.

(view spoiler)[I do also agree that the ending with the dude getting tortured was pretty ridiculous. Like it was so fast and Mark agreed to it so easily ... the whole thing just felt really cheap and pointless to me by the end. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished it this morning as well! I was pretty invested in it though. I really liked the beginning and thought the monsters were fun to read about. I was pretty over the tongue-in-cheek humor by the end though and couldn't help rolling my eyes.

I started this one a couple days ago, about 45% done. I’m going to try to finish it tonight or this weekend.
I like it so far, but I definitely see the characters blending for me a bit and hoping the remainder will be good!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I feel that anything by Jeff Strand is going to be a little crazy and this one didn't disappoint. This book is more comedic horror kind of like the other group read book Larry. Definitely fun to read!
