Task 50.1 Chris M D's Task: Reliving The '70s
Take a trip down Chris' memory lane and look at the fashion, music and book trends of the decade.
First, go to RANDOM..org Roll three dice. Take not of each number from left to right. Each number will correspond to the three tasks--with even numbers you will read a book related to even number tasks and odd numbers you will read a book from odd numbered task in each category.
My dice roll result is 1-6-3 Odd. Even. Odd.
Your three book page total must be 750+ and no children's books may be used.
Page count for each book and total page count.

I chose Forever Young: My Friendship with John F Kennedy Jr by William Sylvester Noonan

Forever Young: My Friendship with John F. Kennedy, Jr.
A great history, biography and would be the best buddy movie ever!
Book 2: Music
Even: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
In honor of this popular '70s album with music written by Sir Elton John and Barry Taupin, read a book by a single author whose initials can be found in either the names Elton John or Bernie Taupin.
The book I read is Silver Girl by Elin Hildebrand
Silver Girl
The author's initials E H can be found in E-lton joHn
When I started reading this book, I had no idea how much '70s nostalgia would be in it! Awful characters but still a great book by one of my favorite authors.
Book 3: Books
Odd: Death Comes At The End...or Does it?
In honor of Agatha Christie and other authors whose characters live on even after their death in new works by new authors., read a book created by a living author with the same main characters as the original author's books.
OK, I goofed up on this task with the first book I chose for this category and had to get another title Luckily, I noticed the mistake over the weekend. Quick read. I chose Agatha Christie's character Hercules Poirot in a new series by Sophie Hannah. Dame Agatha died on January 12, 1970 which fits this "70s task even though she only lived 12 days into the decade. Sophie Hannah is good but the original is still the best.
