Kees | 14 comments A generalist has been assigned to the crew of an exploration ship, probably to terraform or develop a promising planet. The other specialist crew member mock him as they are all renowned experts in their own field.
Upon arrival crew members start to develop illness and cannot find the cause cure until our Generalist becomes involved. He uses counter intuitive thinking from a systems perspective and resolves the issue.

I have tried google search in Good Read and in www.isfdb.org/ to no avail as yet.

Kees | 14 comments Thank you so much Sue, yes I quickly scanned through the text of the ebook, and is see a lot of familiar names. Great.

btw self.guteberg seems to be offline, I cannot reach its and get a time out. And gutenberg.com did not give a hit on beryllium. But no problem; I found the book.

Glad you found your book, Kees. What is the title and author? Isaac Asimov's novella "Sucker Bait" (Sue's suggestion) found in Sucker Bait/Un-Man/to the Storming Gulf or another collection/anthology?

Here is Wikipedia's plot summary - with Spoilers - of "Sucker Bait": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucker_...
