The Rainbow Reading Rivalries

Hey guys! We have another challenge for March coming up. It is called the Rainbow Reading Rivalries. Here’s a breakdown on how it is going to work.




We will have 3 teams.

The Summer Chillers (Red, orange, yellow)
The Neutral Times (White, black, browns)
The New Bloomers (Green, blue, purple)

How it works

~The team members will read books with covers with colors that go with what team they are in. That will earn them points and the page numbers within the book will also earn points for the team.
~There are also some prompts that go along with the challenge that your books can fit into to earn more points. The prompts are based on National Days in March and other Holidays. Here are the prompts:

Read a book with your name as a character in it.
Read a book about wildlife
Read a book with a strong woman/girl character
Read a book with St. Patrick’s mentioned in it
Read a book about the world/economics
Read a book with a character who can speak multiple languages
Read a book with the plotline consisting of folklore tales and fables

~BOTMs and Buddy Reads will also earn you points that can be added to your total!

SCORING:

Every 50 pages is 1 point
If the it is BOTM or a Buddy Read, 5 points
If it follows a prompt, it is 5 points

So the participants have been allotted the teams, kindly check and if you would like to be shifted to another team, let us know. It will only be possible if we have at least 4 participants in each team to keep the balance so if you would like to be shifted, it would be great if you find replacement for your position in the previous team.

That said, the challenge has begun so start reading! You can log your entries in your respective team threads.
