Thanks for the great picks, and I'd love a bonus pick. Something from my Kindle list would be perfect, cuz I have a billion books on there, and should probably start reading some, since I'm inevitably going to download more eventually (I'm addicted to the free ebooks). ^_^

Book - Three Mages and a Margarita
Author - Annette Marie
Date - 3/3/21
Rating - 4 Stars
Review - Great Start to a new series. Our MC, Tori has a huge problem in staying employed because she takes no crap from anyone. After being fired once again from a server job she accidentally stumbles into what she thought was a bar looking to apply for the bar tending job, but turns out to be a Guild for Magic Users. And this is where her adventure begins.. I like the fact that she takes no crap and has no problem putting these magic users in their place when they mess with her. My only issue with the writing is that she befriends 3 hot mages that she becomes really good friends with, but there is constant remarks about how sexy they are. Yep..I got it the first 13 times it was mentioned. Thanks...

The City of Tears-Kate Mosse-3/4/21-🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆

This is the second in a historical fiction series entitled the Burning Chambers. The books takes place in 16th century France and Amsterdam. It is set against the backdrop of the religious wars occuring in France. The main character Minou and her family are Protestants or Hugenots in France and after the St. Bartholomew Day's Massacre of 1572 they find themselves refugees in Amsterdam. A family secret concerning her husbands Piet's birth threatens the life of the family. A thriller right to the end.
Kate Mosse weaves a wonderful tale of love, mystery, and intrigue. Her characters become engrained with the reader. I look forward to the third book in series.

Book - The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Art of Purring
Author - David Michie
Date Read - 3/8/21
Rating - 3 Stars
Review - This is book 2 in The Dalai Lama's Cat Series. Rinpoche, came to the Dalai Lama as a kitten. She has grown up in the Monastery living with the Dalai Lama and having free range. The lesson in this story is finding what brings you happiness. We get to follow Rinpoche on her adventures at Namgyal and at The Cafe down the hill where she likes to spend her afternoons. This is such a cute story.

Book:The Kaiser's Web
Author:Steve Berry
Date Read: 3/10/21
Rating: 5 Stars
Historical setting, conspiracy, and thrilling action is always guaranteed in a Steve Berry-Cotton Malone novel. The Kaiser's Web did not disappoint. Cotton seeks information ot help a candidate in an important election. This hunt begins in Germany, then to Chilie and to South Africa before returning to Germany. Along the way interesting characters pop up who have sources to fuel a conspriacy that began at the end of World War II. Joined with his beautiful and intelligent 'significant other', Cassiopea Witt, the adventure begins. Some old names from the time period of World War II appear and cast quite a different light on the action. Steve Berry at the end explains what is fact and what is fiction. A most delightful and exciting read!

Hey Michelle,
Thank you for my picks. I LOVED Yellow Wife, it was a 5-star read and I hated Fear Me, it was a 1-star. It turned my stomach quite a bit as it had non-con and dub-con along with a heavy amount of bullying.
Thank you for my recommendations as I crossed off two books this month

The Shape of Night by Tess Gerritsen - 17/03/2021 3.5★
This book turned out to be a bit different than I expected, but I found the main character very interesting. Overall, the story is okay, especially if you don't mind some chilling atmosphere.

Rachida picked for me:

Big Stick by Kelly Jamieson - 3/7/21 ♥♥♥♥
Love Unbroken by J.H. Croix - 3/26/21 ♥♥♥♥

I gave the first one four stars, it was really a fascinating history of the Sudanese war and Emma McCune's involvement in the country, first as an aid worker then as a warlord's wife. She was definitely an enigma. On the one hand, she a well-meaning outsider who genuinely wanted to help educate Sudanese children. On the other hand, she was a besotted, willfully blind partner to a brutal guerrilla leader, Riek Machar, who used child soldiers in his military operations. The sheer insanity of some of her choices was maddening.
I have Hemlock Grove 3 stars, mostly because I thought it was well-written. I had a really hard time keeping the multiple characters and and parallel plot lines straight. In the end, the content was just weird and disjointed, even if the author's style was good. Maybe I'll like the TV series better, it's in my Netflix queue.
I'm not going to finish Shewolves by the end of the month, but I like what I've read so far.
