J.K. Bailey (goodreadscomzealot_finale) | 8 comments Zealot Finale Book One (2nd Edition) by Jason Bailey

Zealot Finale Book Two by J.K. Bailey

Hi, I'm Jason, or "J.K. Bailey." I have two books so far, part 1 and 2 of a sci-fi/fantasy trilogy.

My bio here on Goodreads:

"J.K. Bailey, born in the city of Orange, California, has always had a passion for using fiction to portray true everyday scenarios. Inspired from the truth of the Bible and the parables used by God therein, this author hopes to use fiction to portray what would or should be, using worlds and characters created from an interest in science fiction and fantasy, but which remain relatable to our reality nonetheless. This author hopes to offer an escape to fast paced adventure that will leave you with something more than just a story to remember."

Nice to meet you all, God bless!

T.K. Arispe (tkarispe) I've self-published five books and a sixth will be out very soon!

Skydwellers by T.K. Arispe On Borrowed Wings by T.K. Arispe The Voyage of the Kaus Media by T.K. Arispe Thunder Girl by T.K. Arispe Pixeldust by T.K. Arispe

And here's a brief bio:

T. K. Arispe has a nose and eats breakfast like at least some humans. She studied animation production at College of the Canyons and has produced several web comics, including Trainer Wants to Fight! which somehow got its own page on TVTropes. T. K. likes interesting stories, well-crafted worlds, and memorable characters, and is passionate about creating quality, intelligent, slightly offbeat media that everyone can enjoy. She lives in California, where she enjoys not having to deal with snow because it is terrifying. T. K.’s many nerdy interests include paleontology, astronomy, computing history, and pretending to be a samurai.

Angela Joseph | 7 comments I've self-published the Egypt trilogy, a three-book fiction series, and one non-fiction book. My fifth will soon be on preorder.
Coming Out Of Egypt (The Egypt Series Book 1) by Angela Joseph In The Wilderness (Egypt, #2). by Angela Joseph In the Promised Land (Egypt #3) by Angela Joseph Women for All Seasons Biblical Examples for Every Season of Your Life by Angela Joseph
My Goodreads bio: From the first day my elementary school teacher read my essay to the class, I knew I wanted to be a writer. But life got in the way, and that dream was not realized until years later when I returned to school and had my first short story published in P'an Ku, the college magazine.

From there I went on to win honorable mentions in Writer's Digest and other contests and have contributed to A Cup Of Comfort For Mothers and Chicken Soup For The Soul. I have also written hundreds of health and fitness articles for online magazines.
The Egypt series consists of Coming Out Of Egypt, In The Wilderness and In the Promised Land in that order.

Great questions, A.T.

The good news is, publishing a book of any size is free nowadays! (I'm assuming you're talking about indie self-publishing, not trying to sell your manuscript to a publishing house, but if not, please feel free to correct me.) There are some good self-publishers out there who are print-on-demand, which means you can get your book all ready to print for free, and they only charge when someone actually orders a copy.

The process is pretty straightforward. You'll first want to find a self-publisher that you like working with. I've used Lulu.com and Amazon's KDP paperback publishing. They're both good, but vary slightly in the print options they give you (for example, Lulu has a wider range of page sizes and layouts you can publish in, while KDP mostly prints "standard" paperbacks). Then, you just format your manuscript as a digital document that follows their formatting guidelines, submit, and you're good to go! Both Lulu and Amazon allow you to do this completely for free, with no subscription costs or anything of the sort. They make profit off of a cut of the revenue from your book sales.

As for headaches, it depends on what personally gives you a headache, but I'd say probably the most time-consuming part of the whole process is formatting the manuscript to look like a book. You have to be concerned with margins, layout, style consistency, page numbers, etc. and you need to know how to use your word processor of choice well enough to get it to do those things. If you feel like that's something you don't want to deal with, you can always ask someone else for help.

Does that help?

Kingdom (kingdomexpansion) | 406 comments The Poor Catholic The Road to Grace by Angelo Paul Ramunni

Rich Catholic, Poor Catholic; The Road to Grace is a book that encourages Catholics to take a new and closer look at God, asking the reader to consider making up his or her own mind about God. Is He real, or not, and equally important do you have an active one-on-one personal relationship with Him? Are you looking for His help and advice on a daily, or even moment-by-moment basis? Do you think of Him as you do a close, personal friend? Or is He more like a distant acquaintance that you may see, or meet infrequently?

Kingdom (kingdomexpansion) | 406 comments Pocket Cross Miracles Amazing Stories of Hope, Healing, and Encouragement by Angelo Paul Ramunni

God’s miracles happen every day and to ordinary people. The key to receiving and seeing God’s miracles is to know how to ask for them. Another requirement is someone who is powerful enough and capable of performing the miracle. The person needing the help must be prepared to receive their miracle. They will need to give it much prayerful thought before asking. These are the basic elements that go into creating a miracle. But now, what is needed is a reliable way of contacting the One who will grant the miracle. This book contains many real-life stories of miracles that came to people in their hour of greatest need. In every case, there was a small stone pocket cross that helped make the connection possible. Read through the stories and maybe you will find someone’s situation similar to your own. But even if you do not, you will come to realize that when you ask God for something that is good, you will always get an answer. You may even get a miracle!

Sheila Holmes (authorsheilaholmes) | 2 comments Hi, I'm Sheila Holmes. I've published about 25 books, the majority of which are romance fiction. My prompting was because my adorable daughter (grown woman) was always asking me if I was reading anything I could recommend. I got to thinking that what I would really like to make available were romance novels that were ones Jesus could sit down and read with me and enjoy Himself as well.

Some of the most well-known and have most readers are:
The Oblivious Bride by Sheila Holmes Becoming His Awesome Beauty Volume 1 (Awesome Love #1) by Sheila Holmes Manicotti Kisses A Marriage Proposal Gone So Wrong! by Sheila Holmes Fixing His Broken Ballerina Volume 1 (Awesome Love #2) by Sheila Holmes Joyful, Joyful (All in a Name, #1) by Sheila Holmes

Each of the above (as all my writings) does not BLAST the reader with the Gospel, but shares the message within the plot.

If you'd like to review any of the above, just email me at sheilaholmesauthor@gmail.com and request. I would be grateful for your honest review. I'll email you with pdf, mobi, or epub.
Thank you in advance.

Kingdom (kingdomexpansion) | 406 comments God Is Calling You Discerning the Calling of God by Naresh K Malhotra God Is Calling You Responding to the Calling of God by Naresh K Malhotra

Available In Kindle

God has a unique calling for every individual that fits His special plan and purpose for your life. This calling is the way you are to live on the earth and encompasses all your being and doing. Essentially, calling refers to belonging to Christ and participating in His redemptive work in the world in the special way He has called you. The two books in this series will help you to discern your calling from God and then pursue that calling with passion and obedience, relying on the Lord Jesus Christ to fulfill the calling by doing His work in you and through you. In the process, you will experience miracles from God – all to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ! You will benefit by getting to know God in a personal way, deepening your daily walk with Him, and fulfilling your calling. By discerning, responding, and fulfilling your calling, you will experience the abundant life God intends you to have (John 10:10).

message 19: by Mary (new)

Mary Miller | 18 comments Mary in Iconography written in stone.Mary in Iconography, written in stone
The mother of Jesus called Mary is the most revealed and common image women find in the Christian Church Institution. She offers many deep mystical messages, without ever opening her mouth. I would like to share with the reader a new perspective in relation to our era.
“Who is Mary?” In my head, I went from the grieving and weeping Mary of the Renaissance, through the mystical distant gaze of Mary in ancient Byzantine iconography, to the understanding that Mary is a place in my heart; she is a revelation, a guide, an example of female wisdom who arouses epiphanies. She is the womb through which Christ entered the world. She nurtures us to grace the world and share our capacity to love.

Icons Speak: Beginning with Mary

I find it ironic that Christian mystics, mostly men, have spoken and expanded the spiritual understanding of God for nearly two thousand years and, in doing so, have controlled and shaped our society. Mary has not spoken, making our understanding of her elusive. Mary is a woman who, by her human act, gave birth to the most transcendent truth which is love. This is by far the very thing the world needs for its healing. The book explores three classic versions of Mary iconography, the Theorokos, Panagia and Hodegetria. They illustrate Mary's journey, receiving what was given, nurturing what she created and releasing her son into the world for our benefit. The idea of yoking these three pro-type images reflects a humanitarian attitude towards Creation: we too nurture what we create, and have the power to release it to the world.

Orthodox style icons of the Virgin Mother speak volumes about the eternal communication between the love of a mother and that mystery of love which abides in us all. This collection of Mary icons captures the great mysteries of the Madonna, her beauty as well as her message. The collection covers a wide range of imagination in each image, contemporary versions inspired by their historical origin. Miller’s fascination with the Madonna images evolves within the two realms; tradition and contemporary spirituality, as they merge here in word and visual representation. Classic iconography has influenced this comprehensive collection of 32 images of the Mother of Jesus. 8.5” x 8.5” Paperback, 40 pages FULL COLOR illustrations.

A vivid collection of 30 full color images written in stone
