I just heard about this memoir of a law professor's 4 years working as a reserve police officer and what she learned from it. They just interviewed ger on NPR and aside from the fact that the book sounds very interesting, it turns out that the autbor's mom is Barbara Ehrenreich, author of Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America.

The book was released February 9th, 2021. Hot off the presses.

I heard the interview too. Very well done. Shed a new light on some aspects of policing in this modern era.
