I had to return Light of the Jedi to the library, so that’s on hold now. This is the first time anyone’s (other than me) been interested in the SW books, I wasn’t prepared.

Renn (inquisitiveowl) | 265 comments I’m reading Black Brother, Black Brother but I tend to read a lot of books at once.

Can I read that before I’ve finished Light of the Jedi?

message 8: by Patrick (new)

Patrick | 20 comments I think you could read it before or after Light of the Jedi. The story mostly takes place simultaneously with the disaster from Part One of Light of the Jedi. There are some characters that overlap partially, but mostly it is an independent story.

Cool, thanks! I should get to reading that, otherwise I’ll have to probably return it unfinished.

riley_slavens | 8 comments Im currently about a quarter of the way through the Ahsoka novel. I'm really enjoying it so far, even with not having fully finished the Clone wars. I decided to pick it up really in preparation for both TBB and the upcoming Ahsoka show but also because I just really enjoy Ahsokas character.

Renn (inquisitiveowl) | 265 comments I am currently reading a lot of books at the same time, whoops. Almost done with The Miseducation of Cameron Post

avery | 6 comments just finished reading and annotating “Padawan” about a week ago (i think? idk memory bad) and I really enjoyed it! definitely had similar vibes to “Master and Apprentice.” i’m glad we got to get some more exploration of obi wan’s chatacter.

i also recently read the “Lost Stars” manga adaptation and AHH it was VERY good. first volume starts off a little slow, but the second and third ones really pick up and i adore the illustration style.

earlier this summer i also read the “Leia: Princess of Alderaan” manga adaptation (i did in fact read the lost stars one just to fill the void in my heart after i finished the leia one. i want a third volume asap 3). it was amazing!! i really loved it, and again, BEAUTIFUL art. there is one specific frame in the second volume that made me lose my mind (i won’t spoil it if you haven’t read the original book) (but ouchie padme references. that’s all i’ll say).

i’ve read a lot of the high republic adventures comics and they’re very fun! i HIGHLY recommend #12 — it was absolutely beautiful storytelling and really dives deep into some interpretations of the jedi code. it’s focused on lula and zeen and it legitimately had me crying. very good queer rep!!

i’m about to start FINALLY reading light of the jedi and i’m so exited!

Eva B. | 196 comments I'm currently reading The Price of Salt and I still need to finish Light of the Jedi, but I've loved what I've read of it so far. I'm trying to power through my surplus of library books at the moment but I might sit down and binge the High Republic books in December.
I'm planning to buy The Princess and the Scoundrel this week once it drops (SO excited omg)

avery | 6 comments OMG i’m looking forward to princess and the scoundrel too!! i’m trying to convince my friend to read it with me haha, it’s like the perfect mix of both our interests!

Eva B. | 196 comments I’m totally getting the B&N exclusive editions since it’ll have a poster of the cover 😄

T ✩ Handmaiden Of Amidala (tarria) Currently reading Shadow Of The Sith by Adam Christopher and rereading Dooku: Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott. I listened to it as an audio drama a while ago but I decided to read the script and see what I may have missed out on because I have the attention span of a fly with audiobooks, even though I remember liking this one.

Just finished Padawan and before that I read Brotherhood and Queen's Hope.

Italo De Nubila | 3 comments Currently diving into the alphabet squadron and aftermath triologies since they are both in the same placement in the timeline. Hope to finish all of them this month. Let’s see if I manage. I’ll have to take a break from them as soon as the princess and the scoundrel comes out!
