I feel like the redhead -- who is the main character -- was tomboyish like into swords and stuff, literally can't remember anything else. Read at least 8-10 years ago (2011-2013) at a school library so it could be at around a 18 year old (2001~) book based on when school libraries get books.
It was a fairly medieval setting, but distinctly fantasy. NOT non-fiction, which is what i kept getting when i tried to look it up. i feel like the prophet said something like "there will be four" or "you will have four" but those keywords didn't bring up anything for me and i tried several different websites. The prophecy was about the future of the kingdom but i cant remember if the redhead being born was a good thing or bad thing, nor why they were getting a prophecy in the first place, just that her parents didn't expect her birth since they had just had twins and weren't trying to have another kid.
Yes, I checked the "redhead YA novel" list and did not recognize any of those plot lines. A daunting thought is that the queen and her prophecy aren't included in the synopsis as a main element of the story and thus won't show up on searches, but I hope that's not true since it's the part that struck me the most.
