How Creative Are You with your Bookshelf?

What's your style of arranging books in your bookshelf? Do you sort your books by genres or colors? Do you prefer stacking the books vertically or horizontally?

Hmmm...my bookshelf is a mess and has no organization. Me and my sister share a bookshelf and well, our books are always getting mixed up.

My sister is one of those people who loves to be organized, so usually her side will be super organized, and then my side will be a mess, and sometimes my books will infiltrate her side lol.

I'd hadly call my bookcase creative, but I do believe it to be well organised. I like the classic 'by author' arrangement of the books with a lot of pop vinyl dolls (I love them) and a few other bookish trinkets scattered here and there. I really love the way I decorated it (it makes sense to me) even though it's not a very creative or beautiful bookcase like any of the others I see online.

I don’t own a bookshelf as I read mostly e-books and audiobooks but I’d love to own one some day!
If I had a choice I might sort it author wise, but I love seeing rainbow bookshelves. They look really pretty.

My bookshelves are mostly by author's last name but currently I have a ton of books piled in my closet bc they don't fit on my shelf so....And I have a mess of pictures and trophies and other random clutter all over my shelf too. So, the books are organized but not everything else.

Too messy... halfof my books don't even fit! But personally, I put in the best view my favourite ones and then all the others.

I mostly read e-books so I don't have as many books as I would like but I organize them by the author's last name. I have two shelves of books in English, one of books in Spanish and one with my favorite books (and books that I don't really care about in my closet)

I tried organizing by color and also by size, and although it's beautiful it just breaks my heart when book series get separated

I only have a couple of books since I also read ebooks mostly and honestly can't afford buying many books but someday I'll like to have a bookshelf full of many books which I suppose I'll be sorting according to genres and colour coding them.
I would also make it pretty by adding some objects but I don't know what they'll be..
I think I'll be keeping the series separately in another section..

I have a bookshelf and TV stand, so I shove all of my read books randomly into my TV stand and then in my bookshelf, I start off with series that I have multiple books in the series and then the rest of my books arranged alphabetically by the author's last name. I do them all vertically in my bookshelf, but my TV stand is just random stacks of books that are sometimes vertical and sometimes horizontal

My bookshelf broke during an earthquake (probably cus there was so many books, it was to heavy) so now I have my colorful ones in my closet, and I have a lot of YA and fantasy books with black covers and those are stacked on top of each other on a shelf. I think it looks pretty aesthetic 👹 anyways tacos 🌮🎉

I no longer have any room on my bookshelf, so I put my new books underneath the piano, and I try to keep them sorted by author and by series.
