2021 Read-a-Thon #1: Team Daisy

I'm currently listening to Notes from a Young Black Chef which works for the first and readingIn West Mills which works for the 3rd.

I have another physical book with flowers on the cover that I might also be able to finish.

I saw this and requested it from the library. Picked it up today.

I think the background pattern on the cover of Black Girl, Call Home is floral and it should be finished by tomorrow.

I started The Inheritance Games which also has flowers on the front. Not guaranteed to finish by tomorrow but I suspect it will be a quick read.

I’m still reading A Most Beautiful Thing by Arshay Cooper. I’m 30% in. Will see how it goes today.

I started The Galaxy, and the Ground Within yesterday and might be a stretch to fit it to any of the new prompts! Someone mentioned food once...but we'll see if I get through it today.

What a treat! Bookshops are still closed here, most exciting thing I did today was plant some dead-looking plants out before they really died sitting in the porch.

WooHoo! I put them in the tracking sheet. Also, with Jane Eyre in "warm and fuzzy", we've completed all 4 book prompts.

We have more wild cards than prompts, so we've completed our challenge whether we finish more or not! I'm planning on finishing at least one more today - trying to keep the motivation up.

Not positive I'll finish another today, but I'm trying to finish up one more. Definitely glad for the extra motivation this readathon has given!

I won't finish A Beautiful Thing by Arshay Cooper tonight. I tallied my pages & documented them. I had a good time being part of Team Daisy. We did good.

I finished both my audio and physical book and they both fit the restaurant/ food/ cooking prompt.

In Blood Runs Coal: The Yablonski Murders and the Battle for the United Mine Workers of America, one of the killers owns a restaurant and recruits his colleagues from the unsavory patrons there.

In The Girl with the Louding Voice, food is mentioned often with her mama selling food at the market, a meal at restaurant and one of the main people is a chef.

I'm valiantly attempting to finish another book, but it's not looking promising, considering I have 30% left and I usually go to bed in 1-2 hours.

I've enjoyed reading with ya'll.

I put Notes from a Young Black Chef black chef into the restaurant/food/cooking prompt. I'm guessing I won't finish my physical book tonight, but we'll see! I still have a few hours before bed.

I crashed out super early last night but I did add my final read Black Girl, Call Home beforehand as flowers on the cover.

I definitely got more reading done this week than normal and have had fun being a Daisy with you all!
