This sounds fun! 1. I can probably join for 2-4 books.
2. I check GR multiple times a day.
3. I'll have to pass on leading since I'm still working on my other challenges. I can assist if needed.
Never thought I would try out a team challenge, but this sounds great 👏👏👏1. I could commit to 3 books (maybe 4, depending on the prompts) 📚
2. Sure, I check in on this group all the time ✅
3. No thanks to leading 🚫
Please sign me up. I'm insanely hyped about this challenge! *jumps up and down1. Reading plans: around 8 books
2. Check-ins: Yes, will do so regularly.
3. Leadership role: No, but I'm happy to look after the spreadsheet on the captain's behalf, if needed.

As the first post says, qualifying books need to be at least 100 pages long so your 250- to 300-page books are fine.
Or did you mean something else?

Ok, thanks! I understood now.
Hi, this looks fun.. would love to try this. 1. Can read 2-3 books over the 2-week event.
2. Yes can check on the team.
3. Sorry, will pass the leadership role.
Trying something like this for the first time.
I would love to sign up for this Team Challenge!!1. How many books do you think you'll be able to read over the 2-week event?
5... (possibly 6 depending on the prompts :)
2. Can you commit to checking in with your team approximately every every 2-3 days over the next 2 weeks?
Yes!
3. Are you willing to have a leadership role for your team (updating progress)?
Yes, I would be a leader :)
How fun!1: I can probably read 2 books in that time frame.
2: I can definitely check in at least every 2/3 days.
3: Happy to lead a team if needed.
Hi, SarahKat!This sounds like fun and a truly unique idea!
1. How many books do you think you'll be able to read over the 2-week event?
I will only commit to 2 books until I see the prompts. I would hope I could complete 3-4 books.
2. Can you commit to checking in with your team approximately every every 2-3 days over the next 2 weeks?
Sure! It is a rare day that I do not check-in on Goodreads at least 2-3 times! :)
3. Are you willing to have a leadership role for your team (updating progress)?
I would be glad to help lead, but would hesitate to become a sole leader of a group, at least until I knew more details about the leadership role, etc.
Hi and welcome all! To address the team leader questions. It's not a huge job; basically just making sure everything is running smoothly because this is very team-oriented. There is nothing the lead role will need to do that others cannot also help do.
Team Leader roles:
Making sure the spreadsheet your team will be using is updated. All members will be able to update but the leader just needs to double check, making sure it's filled out correctly. This will come into play especially if there are group members who cannot for whatever reason access the spreadsheet easily.
Each team will have their own thread to discuss their plans as well, the leader will just sort of be a voice to defer to if needed.
Team leaders should be the ones to reach out to us mods if there are questions. That way we just have one person from each team coming forward with questions.
Does all of that make sense?
Hi, this looks fun. I would like to join.1. I will read 3 books over the 2-week event.
2. Yes can check in on the team.
3. Sorry, but I will pass on the leadership role.
1. I think I could read 2 in the 2 week period.2. I check Goodreads daily so not a problem.
3. I'd be willing to try a leadership role if needed, but might have a few questions initially with getting set up as I'm fairly new to groups.

Thanks, SarahKat!
But I have just one more question. Once everyone in the team has completed their challenge, where do you post to let a mod know?

Hi Niharika, we will have a separate thread for this purpose where team leaders could update the Mods with their team's progress.

A quick tip on figuring out which month you joined our group:1. Click "Members" in the upper right corner of our Home page.
2. At the top center, set the "Sort by" filter to "Date joined."
3. At the "Search members by name" text box on the right-hand side, enter your user name.

The 2021 Reading Challenge group has surpassed 25,000 members! To celebrate this, along with all the other activities available in this folder, we are offering a team readathon challenge!
Teams will strive to complete prompts from the commemorative 25k quarterly challenge from March 25th - April 7th.
Are you working on the prompts individually? Great! Didn't want to add a 3-month challenge to your plate, but have some extra reading time the next 2 weeks? This is for you too!
Acknowledgement: This activity was heavily inspired by Around the Year in 52 Books' past readathons.
Here's how it works:
Sign up in this thread by answering these questions:
1. How many books do you think you'll be able to read over the 2-week event?
Note: Please only include books that are at least 100 pages long, or you have 100 pages left in at the start of the Readathon.
2. Can you commit to checking in with your team approximately every every 2-3 days over the next 2 weeks?
3. Are you willing to have a leadership role for your team (updating progress)?
You have until March 15th to sign up here! At that point, the mods will put teams of 10-12 people together. We will post your teams in the comment below, and create threads for each team to discuss, as well as a spreadsheet to track progress.
