I suspected this book was going to be dumb, but the description sounded interesting. I had to start it over 3 times.
There were just WAY too many things going on; too many ideas, none of them flushed out. It was afterlife; it was post-apocalyptic, and then there was a freaking pandemic which wiped out the last of humanity, I'm guessing, I didn't really understand the whole thing because I didn't care enough to pay close attention.

It also had some weird social commentary bent where Coca Cola is the world's mega corporation, and was making product from the melting ice in Antarctica. Is that funny? I don't find that funny.

Makes me want to drop a star (and crack a diet coke.)
