So....the major is dead in yet another locked room mystery. Hmmm. The usual suspects (everyone, lol!) reveal their whereabouts during the time the dastardly deed was committed. Of course, everyone has an alibi - but do they? Or are they lying?Fairfax will soon be a member of the House of Lords - could this have been his motive all along? Did he kill his uncle and his grandfather?
It's revealed that Miss Lively is Dottie (former upstairs maid who was in love with former sous-chef Jules). She is miserable without her love - is she a murderess?
Laetitia and the major previously had an affair. Is this connected to the murders?
Alas....Hal has the codicil! Rosalind Pierpont is not Rosalind Pierpont - she's a trained bounty hunter/hired killer/con artist from Arizona (I did NOT see that coming!) working in cahoots with Hal!
Thoughts?
I really enjoyed reading the book--the Wodehousean style was a lot of fun. The ending, sadly, was a bit too far-fetched for me.
SPOILER!
That is, the shooting from outside, far away.

Yeah, Mark, I agree! I did love the writing style but I will admit to a little "huh?" at the end. ;-)
That was one I would have never figured out on my own! I am probably going to read the next book in the series because I really did like Boisjoly and am curious to see if the next book contains the same type of mystery.
If we all read it together when it's available I'll volunteer now to host and do a better job of posting, lol! I went solely from memory and skimming on this one! ;-)
