Hailee | 2762 comments I only have two worth mentioning that weren't rereads but they are:

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn and Sleeping Giants (Themis Files, #1) by Sylvain Neuvel

message 4: by Soo (new)

Soo (silverlyn) | 6898 comments Hmm, I read a lot of great books in January but none that really stood out as a fav except one.

Fav: Wisp of a Thing #2 by Alex Bledsoe (Tufa series) was excellent! My fav book out of the series.

Otherwise, these two stood out because of the topic & story flow:

- Challenger Deep
- Thirteenth Child

Bill | 2150 comments 1. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune - miles ahead of any of the other books I read last month. Such a fantastic book. It left me happy for a few days.
2. Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire - this series hasn’t had a bad book yet.
3. Ship of Smoke and Steel by Django Wexler - have been waiting on this series to be finished and now I finally got around to it. Interesting new world with really cool magic. My least favorite of the series but the only one I read in January.

Best served cold by Abercrombie
Wild Sign by Briggs

The Fires of Vengeance (The Burning, #2) by Evan Winter and The Trouble with Peace (The Age of Madness, #2) by Joe Abercrombie

Shae | 372 comments Read The Worldmaker Trilogy by Lucy Hounsom, starting with Starborn - I had no expectations going in, but the trilogy ended up really suiting my mood and holding my attention :-)
