Anyone having problems signing on?
Man, that is so weird. On Chrome and Firefox it says No Server Available to Handle This Request - PBS Team. Same on my phone. I just tried again on both and using different browsers. May need to bug the hubby for some help :-)
I can't sign in on Firefox. It tells me cookies are disabled. I went and enabled them but it still says they are disabled and it won't let me sign in. Very frustrating.
Ok so maybe not just me then LOL! I tried the same thing on Microsoft Edge where I am getting that message and they are already enabled. DH just tried on his phone and it didn't work. He took the phone off wifi and then it worked but I tried the same thing on my phone and it still didn't work. Definitely frustrating.
I still can't sign in on my laptop but I went to a desktop and got in on Firefox however I am getting error messages so still can't navigate properly. It's definitely wonky.
Thanks! Helps to know I am not the only one. I am hoping if the issue isn't resolved soon that maybe PBS will update with what is going on. I logged on with DH phone but it is just to hard to properly do on a cell phone. I posted a quick message in CMT in a thread with others having problems and now I guess I will just give it a bit and try later.
I'm using Google Chrome and even though I was able to get on earlier, I can't any longer. I believe that this is another PBS problem and until they fix it, there isn't much we can do.
It's frustrating because I think they are trying to add these ads and it is causing technical problems. I feel like we already pay an annual membership and other fees involved with mailing books and buying credits so we shouldn't have to put up with ads as well. Just my opinion. Anyway I hope they fix it before tomorrow morning. I am giving up for tonight.
Clearing cookies seems to work as a temporary fix, but I have to do that a couple times a day.Hope they fix it soon.
I could not get clearing cookies to work for me but after some messing around I can get on if I go through a few different steps using two browsers and copying and pasting from the pbs daily email. It is a bit annoying but at least I can get on from my laptop now. :-)I hope they get it all worked out soon
I got on once an hour and a half ago, and now I can't get on at all on either laptop or desktop. Sigh...
I talked to several people who were having problems logging in. It depends on what time they were trying to log in and also people connect through different servers so it depends on what servers are down. I think they are probably trying to fix the problem where we get the error that says "too many redirects" and so that's why this is happening. Computer stuff always gets wonky when someone is trying to work on it because they have to take things down to work on it. They really should put up a notice if and when they are working on the site but they never do.
I just got the error on PBS that says cookies are not enabled on my browser. This is just a problem with PBS not my browser not accepting cookies. If your browser works fine on other sites then it is actually pbs. It is best just to leave them to work on the site and not try to use it. The only problem is I need to mark a book mailed.
I thought clearing the cookies worked... apparently no longer. Now I can get in at all.Keep getting the following....

No, it's not you it's them. It sucks but maybe they will get it worked out eventually. It says the page isn't redirecting properly or "too many redirects" because there isn't a serve to connect to... because it's down. They have to fix their sh*t. I think they are working on it and that is why it went from bad to worse.
I still can't log in this morning. The redirect error has been an intermittent problem for a few months. Maybe they are trying to fix it? But there are ads on the top of the log in page now that were not there before yesterday. It has a link that says Want fewer ads? that takes me to the Membership Options. I have the Standard Membership not a reduced membership so I shouldn't see that but I think that is what they are adding that is causing all the problems.
I can't log in either. The redirect error just means the server is down. I do think they are working on the site. They should have sent out a message letting people know what is going on or like some other sites do they could have a "site undergoing maintenance" page instead of the confusing errors. I know for sure my browser has cookies enabled. I sure would like to mark my book mailed before it is too late.
I've been trying since noonish yesterday and get the same cookies message. today is the mailing deadline for a swap and I cant get my tracking to Karen! Its definitely on their end from what I've researched. but it usually downt seem to be down this long in one stretch
I couldn't get on PBS with Chrome due to the cookies issue - which never accomplished anything no matter what I did. I also have an account with Edge and I just entered PBS into my search and when it came up I could get into PBS with no difficulties.
I turned off wifi on my phone and got in. it won't work any other way for me and absolutely won't work on my computer
I finally got a response from them. I followed the instructions and so far it is working using chrome. Dear Donna,

Please do the following:
(1) Close all PaperBackSwap windows currently open in your browser (quitting your browser entirely will also do this)
(2) Delete PaperBackSwap "cookies" from your browser (you can do this from your browser settings).
for Chrome, the instructions are:
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
Under "Privacy and security," click Cookies and other site data.
Click See all cookies and site data.
At the top right, search for "PaperBackSwap"
To the right of the "PaperBackSwap" entry, click Remove
When PaperBackSwap "cookies" have been deleted from your browser, please try again to login:
Go to www.paperbackswap.com and click the Login link at the upper right of the homepage. On the member login page, enter your login information, then click Log In.
If that doesn't work to log you in, please
(1) stay on the same page and
(2) scroll down to the bottom of the site and click Contact Us, then
(3) click Send us Feedback at the top of the Contact Us page.
Then type in a message to us telling us what happened when you tried to log in, and click Send.

got thaat message yesterday from them and it worked. But last night trouble again. Just tried logging in, no go- Keep getting the following....The page isn’t redirecting properly
same as 12 hours ago!! This is getting ridiculous.. 3 days now for me.
I am so glad the cookie thing is working for some people but that did not work for me. After messing around with a few things and what some people are saying worked for them, I discovered that if I go to my email on edge, click on the daily digest email, copy link from that email, then go to chrome and paste the link, then I can get in.
So far that is the only way I can access it. If I try to get to it directly on any browser, it does not work. Also this round about way of getting in only works in Chrome.

I understand things happen but I really wish they would be more forthcoming with some information. If they know a lot of people are having this issue, why not put something on PBS and also on their Facebook for people that can't log in at all?

Sigh, anyone else having problems again? I can't get on no matter what I do and my handy little multiple step system that worked last time is not working this time. This is really getting frustrating.
Now I am able to get on. They must have done something last night because I could not get on from about 10pm on. Thankful that it was fixed right away this morning.
I can't get in again. I am getting redirect errors. I messaged PBS on FB and they told me to send an email (which I did). But no response and still not working.







Just wanting to make sure it is not just me! :-)
