Glad I wasn't the only one lol! :-) I just tried again now and got on ok. Thank you Amber for letting them know on FB :-)
Happy anniversary to site issues - same as this time last year. I get 504 Gateway Time-outThe server didn't respond in time.
Down here…..Again! I am now wondering why I paid that $$ to re-up! I have been with PBS since the beginning and it was free!!! Never had so many problems till they started asking for $$
I agree Lorinda! They need to hire someone that has better IT experience. I have gotten a text from Heather D. Her husband is in IT and he “pinged” the PBS website and he can see what is wrong. Does anyone have a way to contact PBS? Her husband is willing to help.

I tried getting into SwapDVD and have the same issue. I was able to get SwapCD to load, but I'm not a member and can't do anything.
Me too! It is becoming too common! PBS did reply on FB that they are aware and working on it. Hopefully it will be quick and not go on for days.

Thank you. I just saw the post on FB that they are aware and working on the problem.
They really need to get new servers or new IT people. They should also add days to us that have paid memberships.
Here is the message on FacebookHello Members. We are aware that there are some intermittent problems with the site and have alerted the Tech Team to put in the fix. At this point we can only apologize for any inconvenience and hope the problem will be fixed very soon. Thank you for your patience!
Although I get as frustrated as everyone else about the frequent outages, I think some of the demands for partial refunds, etc. are a tad dramatic. It's clear that PBS is not hugely profitable and does not have a large IT staff. The code for the site was written ~20 years ago and has likely only been modified with updates and bug fixes, and I suspect they still use physical servers - the whole site would likely need to be nuked and re-built from the ground up and moved to the cloud to be reliable.Allowing the security cert expire every year is annoying and totally preventable, but some of the other outages are probably because the site is operating on 20 year old code, and it would take a major time and financial investment to update it all.
Back to my original point: Say PBS was down for 20 days a year. The refund for downtime that any members are asking for would be $1.10 for a standard membership. It would cost the site more than $1.10 to process the refund, and that would be even less money available to pay for site improvements.
Just got on. Hopefully it is up for good. That would stink to have it happen in the middle of an update
Is anyone else having problems logging in? I keep getting the sign in page and whenever I put in my username and password it just refreshes to sign on again?
