The server didn't respond in time.

I have gotten a text from Heather D. Her husband is in IT and he “pinged” the PBS website and he can see what is wrong. Does anyone have a way to contact PBS? Her husband is willing to help.

I tried getting into SwapDVD and have the same issue. I was able to get SwapCD to load, but I'm not a member and can't do anything.

PBS did reply on FB that they are aware and working on it. Hopefully it will be quick and not go on for days.

Thank you. I just saw the post on FB that they are aware and working on the problem.
They really need to get new servers or new IT people. They should also add days to us that have paid memberships.

Hello Members. We are aware that there are some intermittent problems with the site and have alerted the Tech Team to put in the fix. At this point we can only apologize for any inconvenience and hope the problem will be fixed very soon. Thank you for your patience!

Allowing the security cert expire every year is annoying and totally preventable, but some of the other outages are probably because the site is operating on 20 year old code, and it would take a major time and financial investment to update it all.
Back to my original point: Say PBS was down for 20 days a year. The refund for downtime that any members are asking for would be $1.10 for a standard membership. It would cost the site more than $1.10 to process the refund, and that would be even less money available to pay for site improvements.
