I read the novel “The hate you give us” ,by Angie Thomas, a few years back and it is among the few books that I have really enjoyed. I love this genre of books. It involves a young adult perspective on real world issues. I can relate to these issues yet at the same time learn something new from someone elses view. This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and frustrated all the same time. I consider a book well-written when the author is able to deliver her message by connecting to the readers and making them feel all types of emotions.
There wasn't a single boring part of the story. There is nothing more I hate than a dragged on story. Every single page kept me on my toes. I also really enjoyed each unique character with their own personality. But the thing I favored in the book was how they wrote about an issue like BLM and made it into a story with real people with real feelings. It allows people to become educated in a different way.

I would give this book an overall rating of 5.
