Laura | 66 comments Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to let you know that I have just published a sequel to Fairytales Don’t Come True, entitled Degenerate, Regenerate. It’s available for sale on Amazon, in both eBook and paperback form, and is also on Kindle Unlimited, for those of you who subscribe to that, on the following link:

I’ve also republished Fairytales, without the endnotes (which some considered too clunky) and with a new cover, because the old one wasn’t doing it any favours. What do you think?

If you haven’t read it yet but think you might like to:

Many thanks to all who read my books; I am currently embarked on a third, to make a sequel, which I hope to publish late 2021 or early 2022. My poetry books are of course also on Amazon. Reviews are always welcome!

Many thanks, Laura

Many thanks, Anna. I'm getting more reads on KU these days, and an increase in sales as well, which is in part due to having done a course recently on how to use Amazon ads. But I'm hoping the new cover on 'Fairytales' and it having a sequel will help.l

All the best with your own work and stay in touch.

Laura

Yes, a friend put me onto it. It's by a guy named Bryan Cohen and he runs it for free every 3 months. The next course is in April, would you like me to send you some information and/or a link? It's over 5 days, you join his group on Facebook for the duration and get a 1 hour video each day plus homework. The notes of what Bryan says in the video are attached underneath it, so you can save them for future reference. And you can go on the course again, if you don't get it all first time, which I didn't. I'm not good with figures, marketing and such things, so I reached my saturation point after the 3rd video. But it gave me enough information on how to set up Amazon ads and get my books put in front of many people. The times when your book is shown are called Impressions, and they are free. If someone clicks on your book to check it out, then you pay; but the cost isn't too much, and if any of your clicks turn into a sale then hopefully you come out with a profit. I'd thoroughly recommend it. I've sold 3 eBook copies of my 'October Poems' since I made up ads after the course, and I'm getting reads on Kindle Unlimited. It has to be worth it!

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 292 comments Ah... I've been doing Amazon Ads for years now. I misunderstood, I'd thought there were ways to increase sales rather than just setting it up. Initially I found they worked well but I seem to be donating money to Amazon at the moment. Far fewer sales than a couple of years ago. However, if you haven't used them before, you'll be a new face and your books might get snapped up.

All the best with this, Laura.

Sorry, Anna, I've just found this by chance, for some reason the system didn't alert me to it. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but did you do the Bryan Cohen course? He does look at ways to optimize sales so it's worth doing if you haven't, and it's free. I get what you mean, I've had some sales and reads on KU, but as of today it's slowed down. But I've a new book out, which has been reviewed with 5 stars, so I'm hopeful that I might make some sales there. All the best with yours, Anna.
