Just started A Village in the Third Reich by Julia Boyd, which is gripping.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I gave in to marketing pressure and gave A Court of Thorns and Roses a go. It was okay, the main character is a bit annoying. Started A Court of Mist and Fury which I really enjoyed even though it was predictable and the sex scenes were more cringy than anything else. The third book was a huge disappointment, I was bored halfway through. Far too long and too many random events happening which I assume is to add drama or tension but it doesn't add to the storyline at all A Court of Wings and Ruin. Terrible, terrible book.

Thankfully I did these on audio so I don't feel I wasted any effort.

I read book 1 of her Throne of Glass series and that was enough to put me off any more.

I started one her other books and didn't even finish the first chapter which is why it has taken me so long to try these ones. So many people said they were good, so I gave it a go.
