Eliza | 241 comments I'm in a BR slump. I want a classic, crazy-ass BR to read, but I can't find any of the over the top campy ones. Finding BR e-books is always a challenge and while I did go through the list posted on here, I am not having any luck. I want something similar to This Other Eden or Stormfire. I am sooooo over PC books right now and just need some crazy in my life. Anyone read any lately that I might have missed in ebook format??

Martha (ma66) | 2 comments Hi! I didn't read This Other Eden or Stormfire but two of my favourites are The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and Fires of Winter (Haardrad Viking Family, #1) by Johanna Lindsey. Oh, and another one: The Prize by Julie Garwood

message 3: by Eliza (new)

Eliza | 241 comments I’ve read all of those except The Prize, going to check it out! Thank you!

Martha (ma66) | 2 comments Your are welcome! I just compared our books ...
you could also try Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood ;) Cheers

JennyG | 174 comments No disrespect to Martha. Just keeping in mind what you asked for Eliza... There is nothing crazy about Garwood books. They are NOT bodice ripper romances. Love them, but they are sweet cartoonish books.

Meredith is a hot mess (meredithgoodreads) | 105 comments I consider Savage Surrender, Dangerous Obsession, and Wild Sweet Witch all crazy, cracktastic bodice rippers. Kinda similar to Stormfire imo.

Lauren | 2 comments I don’t know if they are in ebook format but these were all pretty wild rides

Gabrielle -Theresa Conway
Whitney My Love (the original one) -Judith McNaught
While Passion Sleeps -Shirlee Busbee
Rebels Captive -Amy Christopher
Bound by the Heart -Marsha Canham
So Speaks the Heart / Silver Angel -Johanna Lindsay
Unforgivable -Joanna Chambers
This Other Eden -Marilyn Harris
Savage Surender -Natasha Peters
Sweet Savage Love -Rosemary Rogers (this is a series I’ve read the first 3)
Tempted / Wild Hearts -Virginia Henley

Eliza | 241 comments Wow! Thanks guys! I see some new titles (new to me)

T from Istria 💛💚 | 3 comments Virginia Henley Dream lover
Patricia Gaffney Lily and To have and to hold
Brenda Joyce The conqueror
Nina Pennachi Lemonade
Laurie Mcbain Devil’s desire

message 12: by Eliza (new)

Eliza | 241 comments Thank you, T.

I have read almost all of those, Lemonade being my favorite book followed by The Conqueror.

message 13: by Gissele (new)

Gissele | 9 comments I would suggest Passionate Jade- Georgianna Bell- It's not a light bodice ripper IMO.

message 14: by Anne (new)

Anne | 3 comments Wicked Loving Lies by Rosemary Rogers, Rangoon by Christine Monson, The Notorious Angel by Jennifer Blake, Sweet Wild Witch by Araby Scott, Wildarce by Phillippa Gregory, Gyspy Lady and Lady Vixen by Shirlee Busbee, A Woman of Iron by Sheila Holland, The Flesh and the Devil by Teresa Denys, Keeper of the Dream by Penelope Williamson (romance more than BR). I am also in a Bodice Ripper slump, I feel like once you have read This Other Eden and Stormfire, all other novels pale in comparison in terms of impact and intensity.

message 15: by Jiha (new)

Jiha | 118 comments I'm afraid nothing written in English is like stormfire . Have you read Lemonade by Nina Penacchi and Uncommon vows by Mary Jo Potney?

message 16: by Eliza (new)

Eliza | 241 comments Lemonade is one of my favorite books ever. :)

There are several on here I haven't read, I just need to see if they come in e-book format.

Thanks for all y'alls help!

In Uncommon vows hero accused heroine of trespassing or something and took her for interrogation then he made excuses not to let her go and did pressure till she threw herself out of window

message 18: by Eliza (new)

Eliza | 241 comments Yes!! I’ve read that book! Now I remember- she literally threw herself out of a window to get away from him!

message 19: by Eliza (new)

Eliza | 241 comments Alright- I have settled on Dangerous Obsession. Couldn't find it in ebook format, but was able to get a hardcopy very quickly. Looking forward to it!
