Madiha | 227 comments I've enjoyed books like Ali Cross, Mrs. Smith's Spy School for Girls.
I'd like the books to be centered around a 10-14 year old character.
Thanks everyone!

Madiha | 227 comments Oops, I realized I posted this in unsolved....
Is there a way to put into the suggest books for me folder?

Asia | Adventures with Asia Minor (booknerd117) | 210 comments Yep, there is!

On Desktop, you can click the "edit" link on the top right. It will take you to a screen where you can edit the title. You should also be able to change the folder, as well, from there.

If you can't do it, that's okay! A mod can do it for you!

Some MG mystery novels I liked were:
The A to Z Mysteries (Ron Roy)
Calendar Mysteries (Ron Roy)
Capital Mysteries (Ron Roy, again) I haven't read this series, but I read the others, so I would think this would also be good.

Madiha | 227 comments Those are good, but I've read them.

Madiha | 227 comments However, I think I want more mature(?) Characters!

Madiha | 227 comments I would add The Boxcar Children to this list. They were my favs in first grade.

Asia | Adventures with Asia Minor (booknerd117) | 210 comments Okay, no problem!

So, "mature" pre–teens?

Also, were you able to figure out how to switch folders? If you weren't, you can ask the mods to do it for you through this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 8: by Madiha (new)

Madiha | 227 comments Nope, Asia, I was unable to switch.
Technically, I'm fine with both.. but I prefer mature pre-teens/teens.

HorseShoe | 16 comments The characters in the books by Karen M. McManus have older characters, avout 16- young 20s. But good mysteries/thrillers from her! They do have language, so that would be the only downside

Neil Flambè and the Marco Polo Murders
Enola Holmes and the Case of the Missing Marques
The Maypop Kidnapping
Sammy Keys and the Hotel Thief
Greenglass House
Book Scavengers
Friday Barnes Girl Detective
And all of these (except Greenglass house, technically there are books that are chronologically before it but they aren't mysteries )are the first in a series!
